Jan, how much did you want to make? I have a "recipe" from Jim via Michael that uses 1 lb of flakes - this gives you about twelve 4-oz bottles of each. This is truly the easiest recipe, because once you have the weight of the flakes, you just add a certain amount of water, you don't have to weigh anymore.

You can also use the recipe that Mark uses in his video on mmsforhispaniola on YouTube for a single bottle, using Jim's original book figures.

Or, you can decide how much you want to make, get the weight of that much distilled water, remove 28% of the water weight, add that much weight in sodium chlorite back into the distilled water (so you have a 28% mix) -

If any of these appeal to you, let me know and I can get you the actual information.

Thanks very much for that info Steve!

Then what methods do you use to verify that you have a correct mix of MMS? Just as a way to double check.

Michael

Matt, my understanding is that as long as you get technical grade sodium chlorite flakes, you will be fine. You can get it from various MMS vendors - buying it in large amounts is not always easy.

Is it okay to crush the flakes before measuring and mixing?

yes, although I'm not sure why you would need to, since you're doing weight measurements, not volume measurements. Just remember to not use a metal spoon or bowl.

Hmmmm... The instructions I have says to add 4 level tablespoons
of sodium chlorite flakes to 3 oz. of warm R/O or distilled water!
So, am I getting the proper solution mix?

I don't know - who gave you the instructions? Is it a reputable vendor? If not, you may want to get a scale and measure it by weight.
