I've been trying to find some calcium hypochlorite...I found some calcium chloride from the Pool and Spa Chemical company. Is calcium hypochlorite the same as calcium chloride?

Should not be the same because the word Hypo means non allergic...... so better to get the exact same spelling products... do not take the risk....

Also, chloride and chlorite are two different things --
We don't have a pool shop locally (without going 60 miles or so), and I had checked WalMarts (45% calcium chlorite, didn't want to do that) and Home Depot (nothing in their pool area) - so I finally went online to Amazon.com and this is what I got..

Thanks, Steve. I have a feeling I will eventually learn all that chemistry is so assiduously avoided in school
