It is possible to take MMS2 (calcium hypochlorite; pool shock) without using capsules. Use a rounded or heaping 1/8th teaspoon of MMS2 in 1.5 cups of water, then immediately follow with 1 cup of plain water. I have been doing it 4 times a day for 3 weeks now and I like it much better than capsules. Jim says he tested this method of using water only and people did not like the taste, so he decided to go with capsules.
Some people may prefer this method like I do, and it is good to know in case you don't have capsules. The key is to mix thoroughly so the granules are suspended in water when you drink it and drink it quickly, and then follow quickly with plain water. If the granules stay in contact with your mouth or throat for any length of time then there is burning because of the acidity. There is no burning in your stomach because it is designed for acids. After doing it a few times, you get skilled at drinking it down quickly and I find it is less unpleasant than capsules. But your mileage may vary.
It is true, you have to drink it real fast Edwin. But it doesn't take long to get good at it. What I didn't like was the capsules sometimes getting stuck in my throat or seeming to open in the wrong place or at the wrong time. There are pluses and minuses whichever way you do it I think.
don't know if it will work the same with mms2 because I haven't tried mms2 yet but . . .
something that I do while drinking the mms on the days that I especially stuggle with the taste is that I suck on a piece of peppermint candy for maybe 30-60 seconds or so (the cheap red and white striped ones that have peppermint oil in them - walmart), then I take the candy out, drink my mms, then put the candy back into my mouth for another minute or so and then spit it out (simply because I don't eat much sugar so if I am going to splurge on sugar I want to make it really count!). You, of course, don't have to spit it out if you don't want to. This seems to not only help mask the taste but actually even mask the smell some, too. and peppermint can sometimes be helpful to settle the stomach although I doubt that this small amount would help much.
has anyone taking mms2 and water together? I take it this way and the only problem I have noticed is the horrible taste.
YES I HAVE.
since about 8 months now i have been taking mms2 in water (like 3 capsules in 1.5l of water drunk throughout the day) not minding whether anybody has been doing same or not; but also thoughtful at times on whether it stops in the stomach or goes straight to esophagus, etc etc.
But am glad that the only issue now seems to be the taste (which I find better than mms1).
I've been taking it in water too. I follow with clean water and then some potassium salt in my mouth. Drinking it throughout the day like that is something I've started doing too and I like it better than the MMS1.

Just started experimenting taking MMS2 in water in a glass and washed down with lots of water, a bit awkward, taste and getting the MMS2 particles to wash down, they always sinked to the bottom of the glass and I did not want to wait for the particles to dissolve, so this morning I tried taking it in a home made capsule, used half a Rizla paper (cigarette rolling paper), took a very thin Rizla paper tore it in half and filled up the half and wrapped the MMS2 into it making a small paper ball with the MMS2 in it, went down very easy.
Perhaps the paper is not to good for you when used often, but as a quick solution for a capsule found this method very convenient.......
David, what I have been doing lately is mixing the mms2 into the water at least half an hour before taking it and the particles dissolve. I don't think it degrades and I even leave it overnight. It gets fully activated, so it is a jar of hypochloric acid water.
I'm keeping a jar of it around and drinking throughout the day, just following with clean water, and dip my finger in some salt to lick if the taste is really bothersome. I drink some every hour or two following with the clean water.
