I have successfully made kefir from "milk" made from milk powder and water with my kefir grains!..........I was just curious to see if it worked as I had read it would not..........but it did, and it was delicious and full of life!
I normally make it from organic raw or organic pasteurized milk.......I also collect the whey to ferment vegetables ( even dandelions:) and also I ferment rice and oatmeal before I cook them.
This is a great interview to listen to regarding delicious ways to ferment vegetables:

does this type of fermentation produce even a small amount of alkohol ?
i cannot find this information anywhere does those probiotic bacteria produce alkohol in the reaction ?
or like making fermented cabbage juice does it contain alkohol ?
i mean i am very " alergic " to ethyl alkohol and i am afraid that this cabbage juice and all sorts of fermented bevarages contain it. i am drinking this juice 2 days to add probiotic bacteria to my guts but it gives me just a good diarhea so i am confused ...

Note that when you're doing alternative, herbal therapies, they can't be done at the same time as MMS if they are high in antioxidants.

Hello, Does this apply to all antioxidants? There are so many of them in many different fruits and vegetables. Tumeric or curcumin and piperine are considered powerful antioxidants. Does this mean tumeric or curcumin will interfere with MMS if taken as therapy? Thanks.

@rsettle2
Yes, but MMS only stays in the body about 1-1/2 hours. You can take antioxidants 2 hours after your last MMS dose of the day.

Ok. So after taking 12 hourly doses of MMS, a person could take curcumin with piperine as additional therapy before going to bed. That's what I hope. I'm looking to advise someone. Thanks

Hello folks,
I have been making and drinking my own milk kefir for a few years now. I started out with water kefir (WK) and then got some milk kefir (MK). I feel MK is more beneficial for me as I need more calcium in my diet anyway. I have been feeding my grains regular whole milk from the store and just so they don't go too fast I ferment my milk in the fridge. Every so often I take it out and do a few cycles at room temp but if I didn't keep them in the fridge they would eat me out of house and home. The largest of my grains are about the size of a golf ball. I keep about 2 cups of grains in frozen milk now as I have much more than I need. Oh and they are very interesting to eat too. different, just different is the only way to describe eating the grans. A few months ago a neighbor introduced me to kombucha and I find it makes a great replacement for WK.
