I breed bull terrier type dogs, the last couple of years I have had a big problem with cat flu in puppies and spent a lot of money on vets bills, sometimes without great results. The vets use antibiotics and from experience this can cause problems later on in their lives especially in the teeth and sudden death.

My cat flu protocol as follows...

DAY 1
I use 10ppm CDS in 10 to 20ml distilled water (administered by syringe per mouth) first hour.

Then a mix sardines or pilchards, milk, a sprinkel organic salt and amulti vitamin for dogs, all mushed as fine as possible. 10 ml administered by syringe per mouth second hour.

Then I make a mix 1litre boiling water, add 8 teaspoon sugar and 1 teaspoon table salt to boiling water, stir until dissolved. 10ml administered by syringe per mouth.

Skip 1 hour then the CDS 10ml next hour and the water mix next hour.

Skip 1 hour then CDS next hour and water mix next hour.

I REPEAT ABOVE FOR DAY 2. I also clean up and wash off pups mouth with 200 ppm CDS as required. (Pup will release fluids by now)

DAY 3
One dose CDS 10ppm in morning then food mix next hour. Rest of the day I use the water mix 10ml every two hours. Then 1 hour before I sleep I admin10ml CDS and 1 hour later 10 ml food mix.

DAY 4
Same as day 3 but I add 10ml plain youghert once durring the day.
REMEMBER TO KEEP AREA CLEAN AND DOG CLEAN USING CDS SOLUTION 200ppm.

I continue this until the pup starts to look better, once it looks better I get the pup to eat a little (1 or 2 teaspoon mushed chicken) and a little water with MMS2 ( 1 teaspoon MMS 2 per 5 litre water).

Next couple days pup should be able to eat chicken and brown bread (small pieces) on its own.

DONT GIVE TOO MUCH OF ANYTHING YOU DONT WANT THE DOG RELEASING A LOT OF FLUIDS BY MOUTH OR BUM, LAY OFF A LITTLE IF IT IS RELEASE TO MUCH FLUID.

DEPENDING ON THE BREED (BULL, APBT OR AMSTAFF) MY PUPS R BETWEEN 3 - 5 kg, u use slightly smaller doses or bigger doses depending on weight pup.

RevRob, I need some help here.

I'm not sure how to make or get to 10ppm CDS. (Maybe you meant 10mL of CDS, but then what strength?) I guess I'm confused, mostly because this is not the way we usually talk about it, so I'm having a problem wrapping my head around it.

Are you using 3000ppm/L CDS and only using 1/2 a mL in 20mL distilled water? or 1/4 mL? Or are you making up a liter of water and adding only enough CDS for the whole liter to measure 10ppm. Then adding some part of that to the 20mL of water.

The protocol sounds very interesting, and I have 4 cats I need to dose, so I'm always looking for new and improved ways to dose.

Pam what I mean is I administer between 10 - 20ml (if I can 20 ml, but I dont force it, sometimes the dog really wont take all 20ml) of 10ppm CDS solution. Depending on the CDS solution u make, for example at around 3000ppm, u will use 2/3 drops in 200 ml distilled water, to get a 10ppm solution. You will use a tester kit to measure the solution strength. So 200ml will give u 10 doses at about 10ppm.

Cat flu is the common name for PARVOVIRUS which occurs in puppies and less commonly in adult dogs
