This must be a very basic but...

As I wrote on title, this must be very basic information but I couldn't manage to find it. So, please help me...

1. How long the solution would last once it's activated and mixed in water?
2. Need to be in air-tight container? Or could be in a top-open water bowl? (for cats or dogs)

If you activate it and put it in water, it should last a week as long as the bottle is tightly capped and it is kept away from light.
Yes, air-tight container ---- what you're using is the gas (chlorine dioxide gas) - so you don't want it to go away.

For my pets, I make up a fresh batch every day in their drinking water. I use one of those containers that look like this


I don't get the bubbler or fancy things that run water through the air - just the basic waterer - and i use Jim Humble's directions for amount.

Welcome sakura ! Activated MMS in water if kept tightly capped, cool and dark is good for weeks. For the dog and the cat, just give them 1 day's supply in a bowl . Always avoid sunlight because the ultraviolet breaks down the chlorine dioxide.

So, I understand it has to be air-tight container to last for a week or more... but,

1. If I put them in non-air-tight container (bowl or bottle), how long the effectiveness would last?
2. Does water with activated MMS but if gas has been released, doesn't have effectiveness at all?
