My 74 year old mother with COPD is experiencing uncontrolled explosive diarrhea just doing 3/4 of a drop per hour of MMS1. She started out too fast the first time early this month and experienced 'IT' for the first time. After stopping the MMS for a week and pulling herself together, she began again, only this time with 1/4 drop per hour and stayed there for 3 days with no problems, then moved up to 1/2 drop per hour for 3 days, then up to 3/4 drops per hour and almost at the end of that day on that dose is when 'IT' happened again. She was at her best friends house when, out of the blue without hardly any warning, you know what flew, as she flew around the corner attempting to get to her friends bathroom urgently. She had to borrow a towel from her friend to sit on in her car as she drove like hell to get home before another mishap. Once home, she flew as fast as she could go to get to her toilet and more mess was made. She even lost her expensive cell phone down the toilet in that mad dash. MMS has now become expensive for her. Needles to say, she is getting tired of cleaning up her embarrassing messes she makes everywhere.

Her one positive note is that she hasn't needed her prescription medicines to help her breath since her first try at MMS. She would never have had the energy to do all this cleaning, laundry etc. if not for her breathing being better. What do you recommend her next move be? I'm thinking cds, but what dose and would that help control her problem better?

Thank you so much for any help that can be suggested here.

Mickey, I have 2 thoughts.

If this is a herx reaction, this is actually good, although she probably doesn't see it that way <G>.

First, drop her back to 1/4 of a drop, or even 1/2 a drop - another is that the herx reaction means she's REALLY REALLY toxic (which is inevitable with the amount of meds she has had and so on, so she has got to go really really slow.

The other thought is that there is something going around. I got it. I had explosive, uncontrolled diarrhea - just like your mom. It took a couple of days to get over it - I also had a slight fever (which tells me it was a form of the flu) - I ended up going on blackberry leaf tea for the diarrhea and also immodium. I slept for 12 hours. But I really don't think mine was a herx reaction - I had been doing full on CDS for over 6 weeks when it happened. I also think it would have been worse if I had not had the CDS in advance of it, clearing me out.

So, my thoughts - and I invite others to join in, because I can only go from my own experience - back off again on the drops. It is what it is, and her body can only do what it can do. It's not bad, it's just working at the level she is. I know it's embarrassing. It was to me, too. The only good thing about it is I live pretty much alone and have concrete floors. <sigh>

It's good she's had some benefit, because she can see that - and, she really doesn't know what is causing the diarrhea. Be sure she stays hydrated.

She may want to go onto CDS - it's an option, and if she has any issues at all with the taste or smell, I'd recommend it, highly.

Another thought, if she doesn't want to do the oral MMS, then she can always do the MMS baths and footbaths for a while. Also, in the emphysema thread that was active yesterday, I posted Dave Scott's experience with setting up a nighttime breathing situation -

Oh, and the way I know mine was what was going around is that my friend who kindly brought me the immodium and blackberry leaf tea - she called me 2 days later and she had it! So I took the tea and immodium back over to her house.

Thanks so much Pam for your help. My mother lives 1,000 miles away from me. I did tell her to please "STOP IT!" My sides couldn't take any more laughter. The way she told the story, well with the visuals, it was too comical not to roar with laughter out loud---I even woke myself up last night laughing over this. She's stepping back from MMS altogether right now until she gets herself under control. This happened two days ago and it's still going on in spite of her stopping the MMS. Like you said, I also believe she's very toxic and just needs to go super slow. Your ideas are all great one's, I especially like the bath one. Hopefully one day she will write up a hilarious encouraging successful testimony. :-)

Just speaking from my own experience and opinion, I really think the CDS will be much easier on her. MMS1 & 2 both give me gut trouble but the CDS did not cause any problems at all even at 1 tsp/hr for 10 hrs/day.

When you take the MMS1, some of the sodium chlorite is passing through your GI tract but with the CDS, it is a gas that is in water and it quickly gets absorbed and I think leaves no residue at all to pass through your system and cause trouble.

Besides my lungs, my guts are my biggest problem, and the CDS didn't hurt them at all.

She still should go very slow with the CDS, but I think it could eliminate the diarrhea problem ito the extent that problem is due to sodium chlorite passing through the GI tract. If this is really just the way her body is handling die off right now, it might not help that much but it is still much gentler than MMS1 in my experience.

Hi, Mickey. Pam mentioned Dave's adaptation of making up a 10 drop mix of mms activated with lemon juice in a glass and placing it high in the room and letting it react gently all night long. That tickled my fancy :>) so I tried it last night. I found that it works really well. In the morning, the room smelled LEMON FRESh! I didn't have the door closed and it didn't scare the cat. The temp was only 65f at bed time and 50f in the morning, so the mix hadn't completely reacted. Rather than waste it , I dumped it into the bath water and came out smelling like a ...............Lemon! With the door open for the cat to come and go as he pleases, I'm going to try the 25 drop mix tonight.

If she gets it as the result of Herxhimer, even on low doses, CDS, other ways of using it, etc. My thought would be that there's something really serious going on - to the point where explosive diarhrea is "the least of her problems." I'm no expert, by any means; but, my own "solution" would be to pick the method which causes the least problems, stock up on depends, stay well hydrated with sports drinks that have electrolites in them, eat a healthy diet, and try to "ride it out" for a few days, to see if it improved. Someone should stay with her during this time, if she decided to go that route; since, it could be dangerous, even with low doses, etc. if her body is THAT toxic. If it's an allergy to the citric acid, using CDS and other methods should help. Although it sounds kind of counter-intuitive, she might try "cleaning out" using it in enemas; since, there might be a heavy build up there and/or some parasites residing there. Also, I've heard of folks putting MMS (I can't remember if it was activated or not) in a humidifier. (I'm thinking that this is mentioned in JH's book; but, I'll leave it to those who've been through training to give the details about this.)

I'm really not liking my suggestion of what I'd do if it were the result of Herx'ing; and, almost deleted that part; but, the fact does remain that IF her body's THAT toxic, something really serious is going on. She could be absolutely loaded with heavy metals, other pathogens, etc. A very slow remediation would be preferable; but, that (FOR ME) would be a last resort effort. It's DEFINITELY NOT something I'd do without having ruled out a sensitivity to citric acid, trying a slower detox (perhaps adding part of a tsp. of CDS into a bottle of water and just sipping on it throughout the day), etc.

Here's hoping that it's just that she's sensitive to the citric acid; and, hopefully, someone who knows a lot more about this stuff that I do can give a better "last resort" option than this.

Mickey,

:silly: OMG, I read your first post and busted out laughing and immediately thought I am such a bad person. Then I felt much better after reading your other post that your sides couldn't take anymore laughter. I never used MMS1 but I am using CDS and it is really easy on my stomach to take I get no nausea or diarrhea. I hope your mom feels better soon, bless her heart. It sounds like she has a sense of humor too.

Pam and Paul where can I find Dave's adaption of making up a 10 drop mix of MMS. Can I inhale CDS like I do with MMS and Can I leave it gently gas out all night like MMS? What are your thoughts?

Hi, Kyra. You can find the post on the mms forum here: Re: 2 drop inhalation great for emphysema 26 Jan 2012 23:25

In order to get the chlorine dioxide out of the Cds, you would have to warm it. Probably in something temperature controlled like an electric frying pan on low, filled with water, and a glass containing the cds sitting in the water. It would take some experimentation to find out the suitable temperature. The mms + lemon juice at room temperature 65f -70f reacts slowly and steadily. There again it pays to be careful if you're going to close the door - start with a small mix and ramp up each night.
