Just posting here something Kerri posted on all her groups today. I do not know if Jim Humble will be making any announcements about this, but Kerri now recommends HCl (hydrochloric acid 5%) as the activator of choice. Jim, Kerri, Andreas and some others are on a conference tour in Eastern Europe at this time.

MESSAGE OFFICIALLY FROM THE MMS CREW/ANDREAS KALCKER. AS YOU MAY KNOW I AM IN PRAGUE ON A CONFERENCE TOUR. THE FIRST IS HERE IN PRAGUE. ANDREAS JUST HAD A MEETING AND MADE A FEW ANNOUNCEMENTS. HE DOES LAB TESTING ON MMS AND THE DERIVATIVES ALL THE TIME. HE IS VERY METICULOUS AND ALWAYS LOOKING FOR THE BEST.
OFFICIALLY, THE ACTIVATOR IS CHANGING TO HCL. THE CITRIC ACID WAS GOOD....BUT THIS IS BETTER. SO MUCH BETTER. SO...WE DIDN`T DO BAD BEFORE. BUT WE SHOULD START DOING BETTER NOW. I CANNOT KEEP IT FROM YOU FOR A SECOND. IT IS 1:1 LIKE THE 50% CITRIC ACID BUT THE ACTIVATION TIME IS 30 TO 40 SECONDS. AND YOU CAN PROBABLY USE MORE MMS THIS WAY. SO, JUST SWITCH THE CITRIC ACID OUT AND SLIP IN THE HCL AT THE SAME DOSE AND THEN AS YOU SEE THINGS ARE FINE, GO UP AND SEE IF YOU CAN GIVE A BIT MORE. WISHING YOU ALWAYS A SPEEDY RECOVERY FROM AUTISM. XO

NOTE added 2/24/13: recommendation from Kerri and Andreas is for 4% now, but 5% can be used, or it can be diluted down to 4%.

Some people who have problems with citric acid may be able to do HCL very well. You will still have more taste than you do with CDS, but likely less digestive upset. I'm going to shift, personally, over to HCL.

Hi Michael. Finally HCl !!

Lots of people in Czech Republic (that is where Prague is for those who might wonder), have been using HCl for some three years already. I am actually co-moderating a group there, even thou from Canada, whose one department is health and it is a really good one.

I have not had the time to check out yours, but I certainly will and thank you for running it.

Now, there are two things about using citric acid and using HCl as an activator. It appears that none but me has ever inquired into the properties of sodium citrate and it has an advantage over HCl, but somewhat problematic one. It is because overdose causes a severe change in cellular receptivity and membrane permeability to calcium, magnesium and most likely other metals including sodium and may in very severe cases, which by far does not concern MMS thou, cause death. Yet in less severe cases where MMS, especially when used the older way up to 15 drops at a go, may be and probably is the major contributor to sick feeling and diarrhea despite the fact, that one can get used to it after some time.

On the other hand, in smaller amounts, sodium citrate [there are actually three kinds] helps to somewhat unclog exactly the cellular membrane exchange and be actually quite facilitating to the access of ClO2 into tissues. We have found out, that alternating between the two, the citric acid and HCl as activators may be for the best.

When it comes to activation with HCl, the best appears to be a product named Betain HCl, originally serving to as a food supplement to add digestive HCl, which releases HCl slowly when wet in the stomach and there is something to it. We have not found out yet what, It might be extra hydrogen, but it works by experience somewhat better than straight HCl, as much as I am in love with HCl for its own excellent merits.

I am personally not a really big fan of MMS, as I seem to have found an alternative better suiting my tastes and needs, none the less and in all fairness, MMS is going to be more preferable to majority of people and working quite fine and I also use it now and then for some holy purposes.

With kind regards, Slavek alias Karamba.

Slavek
What are you using instead of MMS that better suits your taste?

Are there benefits or concerns on using HCl 5% to activate MMS for the production of CDS?

I asked the same question and was told "no" - I haven't made CDS with the HCl yet, so have no direct experience. I know that occasionally, if you are using the heat method and get the mms/ca too hot, you can pull over some (feverishly trying to remember exactly....) citric acid gas into the CDS - which you won't get with the HCl.

Thanks Pam

The temperature to remain below on the reactor bottle with citric acid is 120 degrees F. Is there a similar concern with HCl (distilling a strong acid would not be a good thing) or since it's a 4 % solution to start with - it's of no - never - mind?

Haven't heard of any - that doesn't mean there isn't - I just haven't heard of any. I sure hope Andreas gets his book done SOON!
