Yesterday I found out something.

The MMS1 with the citric acid was light yellow but the smell was, you know, grrrrrrrr.

So I thought the MMS1 must be ok. So I made a new bottle with 50% citric acid.

And Yes after 20 sec. the solution was reddish brown!!!

I make MMS with 50% citric acid, but the solutions is yellow, not reddish brown. Does it mean something is wrong and it is not working? Please help to answer this! Thank you

It can mean a number of things -
1. your citric acid (which does have a shelf life of about 2 years) is old
2. your citric acid is not 50%
3. your MMS has become weakened from something like UV light or was not strong enough (28%) to start with.

And I don't know which it is.

Try leaving the solution for longer than 20 seconds, up to 3 minutes - see if you get a dark amber then.

Thank you Pam!

It cannot be old as I just ordered them and received last week from a supplier that is Jim's approved.

Should I try 2 experiments:
1. Leave for longer than 20 seconds, up to 3 minutes, and see if its color changes? and if it doesn't:
2. Add more citric acid to the solution and see what happens then?

You can try both those things, and if neither work, I would go back to the approved vendor and tell him what is going on. Give him a chance to make it right, whatever it is.

When I make MMS using flakes it is for me usually lighter, when activated, than when I make MMS using powder.

Different powders give slightly different colours as well.

Generally it is between a yellowish and a brownish colour when activated.

With the powders the longer you leave it the darker it gets and if you leave it long enough it will go the opposite direction to clear.

When activated if the solution is more clear, without a hint of yellow, in my opinion it may have been rendered defective.

If you suspect the solution you bought is defective in anyway, U shud courier it, as U bought it, to GENESIS II CHURCH HQ, with all the relevent info.

HQ will do the tests and investigation, as there can b many factors which cud render the solution U bought defective.
