hello this is my first post in this forum
if the bottle is new and after some days you have flake precipitates contact with the seller. I think this is a bad batch.
After I read some messages and web pages, books... I see a bit of confusion around.
In this case or some water vaporized or the producer put too much NaClO2 in the water, or the NaClO2 have a low concentration and, again put too much of "NaClO2" in low concentration = more quantity of others salts can result in precipitates because water have a solubility limit for every salt, with NaClO2 = Solubility in water 39 g/100 mL (17 °C)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_chlorite
this mean water not dissolve more than 39gr in 100 ml (more temp more dissolution power but when temp drops...)
so if you want to do 100ml of MMS1 use 28gr of NaClO2 flakes @ 80% this result in a MMS1 solution of 22,4%
in reality for a solution of 28% with flakes @ 80% you need 35 grames of this NaClO2 but the last book say NOW MMS1 is a solution @ 22,4%, right ???
also to make a solution of citric acid @ 50% you need 50gr of acid in 100ml water, right ?
I do this 2 days ago and the taste is diferent from my last bottles purchased.
update before post, I check my bottle of MMS1 and some dust are in the bottom, agitated a bit and nothing around. the users of opaque bottles never known what are inside their bottles or what is happening...
