Easy question for those in the know: When using the Shot Glass method, please confirm the PPM of the finished product(CDS) is alone determined by the amount of MMS1 & CA placed in the "shot glass".... and does one remove the "liners/seals" from the lid that ensues a tight seal on the jar, and if they are to be removed to avoid contamination how is the jar sealed to insure the manufacturer of the CDS?

I bought two empty 3 litters plastic jars. So no need to remove seals. They have plastic foam seal, and
looks to work perfect. Left in a small and dark room, no chlorite smell at all, and no explosions :-)
Your method (described in other post) is amazing!
I did two batches, 1.5 Liters each, and using 60mL MMS1.
My plan is to dissolve it to have hourly dose of "a cap" that has about 5mL, so I'm planning to
dilute the CDS @3000ppm in 4 parts of water to obtain CDS @600ppm.
So I can fill the cap and dump it in a glass of water.

OK...so my thick brain can absorb this. Big mouthed jar with a large volume of surface area(water), filled to 1/2 volume or less (1 liter jar filled with 1/2 liter distilled water). Is there a chart/graph that dictates the mount of MMS1 (activated) necessary vs. receiver water volume(50 drops MMS1 vs. 1/2 litter distilled water= 6000ppm CDS)??

I saw some jars that would fit the bill at Wally World..About 1 litter wide mouth glass storage jars with a rubber/silicon seal with a metal latch that seals the top. What do you think?

Thank you...My mind is still not right with the process of determining the PPM...but it is late. I will look for the 2 liter wide mouth you suggest and go from there. To quote Aaaarrrnold...."I'll be back".

When do expect these experiments to be completed (with detailed instructions and PPM levels). This sounds so much easier than drops.

OK....I HATE to sound and appear like the COMPLETE idiot...However I am a complete virgin in all of these matters so please be gentle and advise me, in the most simple terms possible: the quantities of activated MMS1(or dry) needed vs. water to come up with about 6000ppm in the receiving jar(best guess on size). Pam told me how to determine the PPM for the finished product...but it still not sink in on the proper procedure. I have the strips, but the method to determine the ppm is still vague. Just talk to me if I am a 10 yr old and all should be well. It sounds like I still need a beaker for the high ML measurements.

So...to get a higher PPM either increase the MMS1 to 55-60ml OR run the process twice, using the same RECEIVER water but changing the MMS1 solution? Have you seen this....?

If you look at the procedure for making his MMS1 solution with dry chemicals(directly under the photo), it sounds a lot like your technique for the same. I WONDER the PPM for this Frankenstein!

Help me here... Using the shot glass method with 35mm of mms in 1 liter of water you have about 3000ppm. Using 1 tsp of sodium chlorite & citrus acid powder in one liter of water you have 700ppm.

"Yes, I have seen Karl's post on using dry powders. That method does work to make CDS and as I mentioned in a previous post, using 1 teaspoon (US) of MMS1 & citric acid I have measured 700 ppm in 1 liter of resulting CDS using the equipment shown in the high range chart."

I'm not sure how you have a much lower ppm reading. I know I'm missing something, I have all equipment needed to use Karl's method but will not go forward till this PPM is straight in my mind.
