Jim, look for a 1ml syringe that does not have a Luer lock tip. A plain tip syringe (as shown in the photo) is easier to work with and it will hold a needle in place if you will be using needles.
I bought a box of 100 some years ago and still have most of them. Yes, you can reuse syringes many times. Your fingers will eventually remove the markings on the barrel, so cover those with clear tape. One of my 10ml syringes I have used for 3 & 1/2 years. That one has a silicone O-ring seal on the end of the plunger. Sometimes I lube the seal with silicone oil.
I would not store SCS and acid in syringes. Regular syringes use natural rubber for the seal and those may not stand up to those chemicals. Rinse the syringe twice in clean water and you can use just one syringe for both SCS and acid. Avoid cross contamination.
Diabetics often use 1ml syringes, so a chemist should have them. You don't need needles.
