It turns out, after a visit form the vet, that one of our lovely goats has a tumor growing in the front of his jaw where those bottom front teeth are. We thought it was a tooth problem, but it is beside the teeth and growing. The vet says, "In my experience with these oral tumors, they are aggressive, grow quickly and then the center part dies and rots." One of the "solutions" to this problem is surgery. But this would be more $ than we want to pay, and it would also leave the goat with part of his jaw missing. THis would effect his ability go eat comfortably. That does not sound like sth we want to put him through after his wonderful device to us being a pack goat. So, I've been flushing the tumor with about 15ml of 3000 ppm CDS and about 5 ml DMSO once a day. This is relatively easy to do since the tumor is in the front of the jaw-line. He's had about 10 treatments so far. BTW, he does drink some of this as I flush it onto the tumor using a big syringe without the needle, so that means he is also ingesting CDS & DMSO… however, he's a ruminate and it may not be as helpful to ingest CDS & DMSO for ruminates. (I understand that Andreas Kalcker, when treating cattle in Spain with oral MMS, learned that it was more effective when injected. THis led to his developing the CDS)

Despite reading posts on injecting CDS, I am not yet knowing enough to inject CDS. Can anyone please help me understand how to dose and inject CDS for this lovely animal? Much appreciation for clear and precise instructions.
Thanks!

well, I guess the question is, are you getting results with the DMSO & MMS mixture?

if yes, then you might just need to be patient

if not, then you pursue other modes

start with a weak, sterile solution, and proceed carefully...

the video below is on doing it,

Thanks, rb1968. There has been no change with our goat's oral tumor. After watching that YT video, I'm still confused about how to do that. I'll watch it again.. and again… and again… to see if I can decipher enough info to actually try injecting in my goats jaw. Thanks for sending the link to that YT vid!!

if youre near a forest let it roam freely to eat the wild herbs they have the instinct to cure themselves..... ozonated water and baking soda to flush out the bacteria or fungal infection.....

You might want to check out bentonite clay through Young Living. It is a good quality clay.

Joyce,

Check this post from drgreen. He saved a calf with scours with injection formulation from Andreas Kalcker .

THanks to all who have responded to my "goat with oral tumor" post. This goats name is "Wade" and he's been droopy-eared and sluggish for the last 3 days. He;'s not eaten for ca 36 hrs and has taken in very little water. He's an 8 yrs old retired pack goat. Wonderful 200 lb fellow.

I stopped treating him with the CDS/DMSO mixture (flushing the tumor in the front of his mouth with a syringe once a day). I just want him to rest and not add to his stress of not feeling well. Each of our 3 "Boyz" have had similar bouts of feeling poorly over the years. We do not rush to call the vet for such things anymore than we rush to the doc when we get colds or flu. These guys have been back to normal within a few days. We just keep them as calm as possible and make sure (in winter) that we offer them warm water to drink twice a day. Our thinking is they are susceptible to colds like humans and they'll get through it.

The size of the tumor has not changed in any way. When Wade is back to normal again I intend to continue the CDS/DMSO treatments.
Thanks, fouirfingerz for that link. I"ll check it out today.

ok, just finished the seminar in Atlanta, they covered the injection, you need to use CDS (not activated MMS), and then you add baking soda to raise the PH...

you will need PH strips to test the alkalinity, you want it at least 6.5 or so, when you start the CDS it is like 2.5 or so (ouch)

start with small injections, and since it is pretty accessible, I think you could get away with an insulin syringe versus intramuscular...

hope that helps,
regards,
RB

Thanks, RB.
Some questions:
1. Do we inject with 3,000ppm CDS?
2. Is there a need to add saline solution or bacteriostatic water to the CDS? or would we use undiluted CDS?
3. What is the total volume of liquid that would be injected per injection?
4. How much baking soda to how much CDS?
