Hi Jane, sorry to hear about all your pain and discomfort, I had an acute injury once that left me unable to sit, stand, or lie down without excruciating pain and discomfort, so I deeply empathize.

I want to suggest that you click the Healing Methodoliges link to the left and go over the MMS fundamentals posted under the Effective Uses of Sacraments link. I definitely agree with Michael that you'll want to address the severe pain first. But for more lasting relief you'll want to get as much MMS into your body as you can so you can start to get what sounds like a large amount of pathogens out of your system, you may even wan't to go on Protocol 2000 and incorporate MMS2 once you can tolerate MMS1 a bit more. Remember its VERY important to go slow with these, your extreme vomiting is likely a sign of heavy pathogen build up in your system. And if you've never been able to get past 2 drops its quite possible that the MMS hasn't had the opportunity to make a noticeable impact on the pathogen level in your body. Be as patient as you can, and stick with it, it won't be a walk in the park, but with perseverance I believe that you will get better.

As for the DMSO... its definitely great for pain as well as for getting the MMS into the body transdermally, you could try using this to get more mms1 into your system if the oral dosages are giving you trouble... whatever you do, don't give up. Scale down the drops if you have to, but by all means don't STOP if at all possible. Also with DMSO its important to clean the application area well so the DMSO doesnt carry other chemicals into your body. You'll want to rotate between application areas, left arm, right arm, left leg etc, applying as often as every 2hrs for pain relief. DMSO is relatively safe and has many other benefits of its own.

Hope this Helps

Just to note, DMSO is basically totally non-toxic in anything like reasonable levels. Dr. Stanley Jacob, the man who discovered the therapeutic uses for it has been taking 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) of it orally every day since 1960, and is in robust good health in his 80's.

Many people with chronic pain conditions have gotten amazing relief from pain where nothing else worked. The pain relief is cumulative and continues increasing over some time while using it. --Bruce

Agreed DMSO when used properly is extremely safe, the only reason I said it was "relatively" safe Jane was due to the necessity for using it within reasonable and safe parameters, as is the case with all things though! Much appreciation for the additional clarity on that one BR!

For joint pain and sciatica, I would put full-strength DMSO into a small spray bottle and spray on painful joints and the lower back area, and rub gently. You may get a little tingling in those areas. If that's too unpleasant you can mix the DMSO with 50% distilled water (anything in the water will get carried into the skin). The DMSO will be absorbed into the skin pretty quickly.

For sensitive people, there are DMSO ointments, some have 60% or so DMSO. Any way you apply it or take it orally, it will permeate the whole body.

Hey Bruce, DMSO in the spray bottles is something I've been wondering about for awhile now. I know Jim suggest using it in spray bottles, and many others do as well, which leads me to believe that it must be pretty safe to do so, but on the flip side I've also seen alot of people who say to store your DMSO only in glass as its capacity to act as a solvent could carry chemicals from certain types of plastics into ones body. So I guess my question is, whats your take on this and if it is safe to put DMSO into a plastic spray bottle, does a particular type need to be used?

Hi Ken, well this is somewhat a subject of controversy. The DMSO I'm buying, as well as all of the DMSO sold in our natural foods market (15 or so products) comes in plastic. This is potentially problematic, as the DMSO, a very soluble solvent, will carry anything it absorbs wherever it goes. :(

Also, some people have found that even with a glass spray bottle, that the plastic spray head and pump can become brittle and break (I haven't experienced this), which begs the question of did the plasticizers from the plastic get absorbed by the DMSO. So, I guess the appropriate answer is, it shouldn't be in plastic. I rebottle my DMSO in glass, but it comes out of polyethylene.

I guess you got to pick your battles. In "The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" it's suggested that one factor in their demise was the use of lead for dishes, including wine goblets, by the Roman elites. Here in Western mass culture, we practically live in plastic. Good thing we have MMS, no?

Good points Bruce... thanks for the insight! We definitely have to pick our battles and weigh our options carefully! From your experience do you think its more effective to spray it on than to apply it with a cotton applicator or something like that! What I've personally been doing is spraying the MMS on my skin as sort of a base coat, then applying DMSO with sterile cotton balls over the MMS "base coat" and then spraying another coat of MMS over the DMSO...its been working pretty well that way, but i don't know if its the most effective!

I think anyway you get it on there is great. When I treat myself for skin conditions, I often put the DMSO on with a finger-tip (I have a little arthritis in my thumbs, so that helps too!). I don't like "wasting" it by using cotton or Q-tips, as I'm pathologically frugal. I use the spray bottle for large areas, but I observe that there's always overspray getting all over everything (that's OK, it washes out with water). My sweetie (Hi Cynthia) gets an itching reaction from full-strength DMSO and prefers (pricey, there's my skin-flint again) DMSO cream. It smells good! She does not prefer the odor of DMSO.

Spraying has the advantage of not disturbing the topical spray MMS basecoat.
