The QuickCDS "Dry" method needs 5 grams of 80 % sodium chlorite for each 250 ml of CDS.  That means with 100 g of 80 % sodium chlorite you can create around 5 liters of 3.000 ppm CDS.

That method where it takes only about 5 minutes to create 3000ppm CDS seems pretty volatile.

He used a container that had a small hole to release pressure I would guess. If one used the clip lid mason jar method this way with no release for pressure do you think it would create too much pressure and perhaps explode?

100 grams sodium chlorite + 257 grams of distilled water makes 357ml of mms solution.

You can make up to 15 litres of CDS (at standard 3000ppm). I am shortly going to upload my methodology for rapidly and efficiently making CDS with NaClO₂ flakes and concentrated HCl.

There is three times as much potential in the NaClO₂ than this would suggest.
