I think that dilution is enough to raise the pH from a 5 to near 'neutral'?

I am just intrigued when AK said in his book that CDS is 'neutral' pH.

If possible, it is usually a good idea to verify what you read in books, see in videos, etc.

I use triple filter water to make CDS and I think that is okay, distilled water may not be necessary. Checking with a TDS meter, I don't think there are any minerals in the filtered water as the meter reads zero. Will minerals affect CDS? Probably depends on the different minerals in the water.

Good evening for many years I did the CDS for 1000ml at once and I always used 25Gr of Sodium Chlorite at 20% solution and citric acid solution at 35% to make the reaction, the result was 1000 ml of CDS probably at 3000 or 4000ppm, then I started doing it at 28% Sodium Chlorite and 50% citric acid the reactions were stronger and faster (1 hour and 20 minutes for 1 liter). Then the sodium chlorite I have used for 5 years finished and I bought new powder one, I started new reactions (28% and citric acid at 50%) and this time the reactions were faster and much stronger, I think that the CDS is above 4000ppm, I do not have the strips to calculate the ppm I already command from USA the lamotte strips and I'm on standby, but one way to know for me if it's to strong is when I do the 10ml protocol in a liter of water and the shots are not so strong but these I'm doing now irritate the throat a lot for that reason I cut a haft the doses at 5ml per liter and it does not bother that much, but I have the doubt whether it's okay or not , be on the subject of the blue Gatorade to make a home measurement but I have doubts about it, someone makes batches of 1 or 2 liters in one time with the fish tank pump method? What is your experience and which do you think it will be better results on solute quantities? (sodium chlorite and citric acid) This was a long time formula I do not know if it is different today?

Miguel, I think you are using the original method of making CDS which used a heated reactor, many bottles, tubing and air pump. We don't recommend that method because it is dangerous. I and others experienced explosions due to heating the sodium chlorite solution and acid activator. There also seems to be a chemical reason not to heat the SC + acid mix. So, today we only recommend the shot glass method of making CDS which is very safe.

hi I did this for several years and no problem I never heat the reactor because the violent reaction, but at this point that we need more CDS for people I decide to make extra quantities but you are right it is too risky due to an extra heavy gas on air, but my other question was concerning to the amounts of chemicals 25 Grams of SC+50gr acid it was OK or there was another formula more or less did you remember something?

I don't remember the recipe to make CDS using the heating/bottles/tubing/pump/explosion method. I will look in Andreas Kalcker's book and see if there is a recipe for that method.

I have been testing a newer way to make CDS for about 2 months now and so far I have been able to get high amounts of CLO2 per ml of MMS. Activation time is 2+ hours.

How much CDS do you need to make every day?
