On page 40 in Andre Kalcker's book on "The Essentials" He shows a picture of a cat using a shot glass containing CDS and holding it up to the ear. He says its used for aliments in the ear and to disinfect the ear canals in cats. I don't have cats so can not comment on if it works or not. I use either CDS or MMS to treat dogs and pups and add a drop of stevia so it doesn't taste so bad.

Thank you for that. I saw that exact thing online somewhere. I remember thinking that if the cat jerks his head, the CDS would spill into the ear and it made me nervous. I will check out the procedure in more detail ... I'm probably overly fearful of it.

I appreciate the comment!

Thank you for asking. I haven't been posting - too much going on here and I have been trying to keep up.

He was getting worse and was swelling more - even on the side of his face. He was hiding and not wanting to eat. I was trying to do more of the topical MMS (patch) and drops because the internal didn't seem to be helping. I felt so bad for him. I was desperate.

As much as I hate it, he went on another antibiotic. That's another reason I didn't post -- I was so discouraged. Some swelling has gone down and he is happier, eating, etc. I'm continuing daily patch (10 drops mms1, 10 drops distilled water, 10 drops DMSO) on the outer ear flap and base of the ear - and down his jaw. Also the recommended MMS1 ear drop mixture  (1 drop per 1 oz distilled water).

It has been awhile since I posted - the 14 days is up on the antibiotics as of yesterday. I've still been using supplements to boost immune and probiotics. I want to up the patch use to twice a day. I have a product on order (Transfer Factor) to super boost immune.

I have tried not to despair - and I keep trying to gain ground.

mms seems to be effective against virals. mms however, seems to aggravate or even worsen bacterial infections. this is from my personal experience on it.

my tooth abcess was so bad I had to go back onto antibiotics. mms was just not helping in any way.

I got the patch information on the 10 drops from Jim's book on page 135. (I attached it - hope that's OK). He went on to talk about using it on a child, and I followed that. Just using it for short periods at first. Plus I started with double the amount of water. I had the gauze soaked, so it was on me as well (cleaned my hands with distilled water first) and there was no irritation.  His skin is not broken on the base of his ear and his neck, so there was no irritation that I saw and he was fine with it (it did kind of bleach out his hair, tho). I'm just doing it once a day.

The antibiotics do work on the infection, but not the polyp, other than taking away some of the inflammation. The problem is the polyp is blocking the ear drum and nothing can really get down there and the vet said the infections will keep occurring unless it's removed. That is why, in combination with the antibiotics, I have to reduce that polyp. I was hopeful the patch could help the MMS get into the bloodstream at that area of the polyp - and it's origin, which is down in there.

He just finished the round of antibiotics. The vet suggested going back on the antibiotic at 2 or 3 week intervals. Until of course, the bacteria becomes resistant. He has been on three different ones. There doesn't seem to be infection now (I don't smell anything and it's not seeping), but it is still sometimes inflamed and I think that is causing the lymph below to follow suit.

The transfer factor is arriving today and I'm hoping that can help as well.

One other thing - I was surprised the solution didn't seem very strong once it was mixed. DMSO by itself gets very warm, as you know. Jim mentioned not keeping these two things mixed, as they will cancel out each other - and suggests separate spray bottles and to apply the MMS1 first, then the DMSO.  I notice after mixing them that the solution is not warming or irritating at all - nothing like 10 drops of DMSO would be on it's own. So, I guess it still works in conjunction if you mix it and use it right away. I don't think it would be a good formula if it sat around. That was an initial mistake I made with the ear drops - using a drop of MMS1 and DMSO each with 1 oz of water. Once I read that I made two separate bottles.

That quickly? I mix it and head up there to use it, but sometimes he makes me wait several minutes. Maybe I need to be more diligent here. Thank you.
