The stainless steel needle is used to take out the CDS from the bento box. CDS (CLO2) and stainless steel are compatible, contrary to what Andreas Kalcker says. Look for compatibility charts online. I have been doing this for years. The SS needles and SS dosing thermos bottle do not show any signs of corrosion. My daily CDS dosing bottle is a SS thermos with an internal straw. Four sips is about 100ml of diluted CDS.
Tyeso 600ML Stainless Steel Thermos Bottle With Straw filled with 500ml of diluted CDS.
You can take the bento box outside, when there is no sun to wreck the CDS, and pour out the CDS. Or, remove the CDS in your kitchen with an exhaust fan running.

Great! Thank you. Needle might be better to keep the potency. I'll use needle then.

Here is the photo. Thank you CLO2.
I made my first CDS yesterday with 2 compartment food storage. It's very easy and I made a small bottle of 50% Citric Acid(100ml) just to save my HCL, then use 12ml formula.
However, I find the seal of 2 compartment food storage is not perfect. I did test it with water, no leak at all and very tight, but after few hours waiting for the CDS, when I opened the cabinet, I could definitely smell and feel the gas around the cabinet. So at night I transferred them into the glass bottle with silicone seal and stored in the fridge.
This morning I did a test stripe and it's 3000ppm.

Try adding some kitchen plastic wrap to help seal the bento box.

If you made CDS in a bento box container, it should take about 3 hours, not overnight.
