Testing CDS to Have 3000ppm was created by tyroner
Hi, My name is Tyrone. First I want to thank all of you for the wonderful work you'll are during. My concern is with testing with the ' CHLORINE DIOXIDE'' test strips. You sent me some instructions on how to mix the CDS 3000ppm. The test strips that you have is the same ones I have ( INSTA-TEST ANALYTIC 0 - 10 - 25 - 50 - 100 - 250 - AND 500 ). There is no 300 color testing chart for me to match to, to determine a 3000ppm strength of my final CDS SOLUTION. I have searched the web,, called numerous water purification companies, but with no success finding test strips that have a 300 color test square included in the scale.Tell me, what do you suggest. Thanking you in advance for your help.
Tyrone.
Tyrone.

Hi, Tyrone, It's because you are not testing the way you anticipate. You're not testing to a specific number on the testing strips. The initial CDS is going to be WAY too strong to just dip and read, so you will need to dilute it to test.
Add 1ml of CDS to 1 oz of distilled water. Measure with the testing strips, will probably measure 100 (should, or close, if you have 3000 ppm) - One way to think of it is 30x100=3000
