Other way than using Strip tests or Gatorade?

Makin CDS now Jim Humble way (not shot glass method), am wondering if there is another way to figure out the strength other than using gatorade or strip tests, only because I have neither.
I will go buy Gatorade tomorrow if this is necessar, but wondered if there is another way, I mean perhaps shade of colour? or something?

You can only use shade of color once you've made it and tested it for a while. Which will require the testing strips. If you REALLY want to know what your ppm is, use testing strips. Gatorade is what I call a jungle fix - You can get approx -

Precise measurements with your mix produces an exact 300ppm product. I do make mine daily - due to the low strength and large volumes. Originally I did test my production - but it always measured the same - so the guess work is eliminated. The standard and original method was developed by our old friend Charlotte - and is available on the forum.

Thanks all! I am trying to get a hold of these strip tests for the future. But since I have not yet got it my next batch will be shot glass method.
I have been drinking it nonetheless, I just followed everything Jim Humble did, from my "results" (physical) I think it may be a little bit stronger than 3000 so I diluted it a bit as well.

Paul, I am not sure why your browser shuts down when you go to MMSinfo.org. If you PM me, I will suggest another way to get the files.

I would post the files on the forum except for two problems if I do that. One is when the files are changed due to more testing, the files can't be changed/updated on the forum.
