I was wondering if muratic acid bought from home depot can be used in place of citric acid when making cds using the shot glass method????

Yes - Hydrochloric acid has been used to activate Sodium Chlorite - but is avoided due to the difficulty of the stoichiometry of the reaction and getting the mix correct.

If you search HCl on the forum you will find a number of references discussing both raw HCl and relying on stomach acid (HCl) in the activation process as a consideration.

Unnecessary imo as CA, lemon juice and vinegar (if desperate) works amicably! I make use of the shot glass method almost exclusively.

The authority on CDS prep who used to write on this forum (Charlotte) also had some cool experimental data she had tested - but she has now withdrawn her data to another site - as someone on staff had a speed wobble on one of her statements and she was castigated for unknown reasons. Very sad situation imo...

I have most of her data recorded in my library - so if you are serious about the research - you can pm me for copies and references.

Ah !!! I wondered what happened to Charlotte. She was very good with her answers and research on this forum and I am very dissapointed that she is here no longer. I unfortunately did not keep her writtings on CDS and would really like to have access to it. How can I get this from you Sky?
Actually I will post my email address to you. Hope you can help.
Strange, I just cannot see Charlotte doing anything to get someones hackles up. She was just too eager to research and helped a lot with the shot glass methods for CDS. She put a lot of time in.
Such a shame and hope she will consider comeing back on.
Does anyone know what site she is now on?

I am disturbed that she is gone but reserve full judgement and concern until I know or hear why...Her work and responses were very valuable and now we on the forum have to suffer for a lack of her input and participation...I was getting ready to buy 3 year membership to the church and make a donation and have 2 others who use MMS locally want to get a church membership. I am hesitant to give to a cause that would ban someone who I read all most all the post I could find by her and could not see why she was banned.......

I want a petition Jim Humble and get a online petition to bring her account back!!! I quite frankly pissed and am loosing trust in those who govern this forum....I reserve full judgement until I know the reason......

I wanted to know where she has gone!! I glad someone had the wisdom to save her work and is the politics really that bad around here????

Charlotte is not banned. She chose to leave the forum and edited all her posts to the word "edit" - we left them up for a month, and I recently removed them (if we had wanted to remove her content, we could have just deleted the posts - we did not) -

Personally, if someone chooses to become a church member for any reason OTHER than Jim Humble's work and wanting to support it, I think that it's a poor choice for them. Charlotte is NOT Jim Humble. This was not Charlotte's forum.

That said, I'm in contact with her on a fairly regular basis (several times a week, usually) - I think she checks in occasionally to see if she has any PMs.

You can also check the website www.mmsinfo.org - which is where she posts a lot of her stuff.

No need to over react here folks - no one said she was banned. She took the personal choice in limiting her presence due to an opinion given her by a member of management. As far as I know she still reads here but it appears she is limiting her contribution. That is her choice and it remains for management to realize their loss.

Personally - it does leave a taste in the mouth when these things occur, but - it is the prerogative of management to exercise their opinions - they pay the bills.

I was in contact with her on here but thought now that would not be possible. My fault for over reacting and miss understanding.......She had a lot of contributions that help me publicly and some privately on here.....Sorry for the stir......
