I think it's important simply stay with the regular timing of the doses. That's hard enough. Then, live your life as you regularly do. Worrying about the timing of meals, etc. adds too much difficulty. I've been taking MMS1 with food in my stomach occasionally, or eating after a dose for two years, and I seem to have gotten the benefits I was looking for.

Orv,
I too wondered the same thing. I am currently taking Protocol 1000. When I eat a meal, I try to eat in the middle of the hour, so that the last dose was 30 minutes before and the next is 30 minutes after. I don't know if that helps to do it that way but it certaintly cannot hurt. I also wonder if its ok to nibble on food in between doses because it seems like I want to eat right after a dose. I think that is because I try to get the taste out of my mouth. What ailment are you conquering with MMS?

The eating of food and nibbling is really not a problem. Many people end up having to fight nausea while on mms and when that is the case, eat whenever it feels good just so you can keep taking the mms. The mms seems to be absorbed very quickly into the blood stream, even starting in your mouth. If you do have to fight nausea then be sure to have apples on hand, nibbling on them or eating them grated is one of the best things for nausea.

Best of healing to you both!

I take MMS by capsule Michael, so how long do you think it takes before the MMS is absorbed from the stomach? I often burp after taking the MMS because I drink 8-10 oz of water with each dose and when I do burp I can taste the MMS right away. I am currently on my second day of protocol 1000 for HSV-1 and few other ailments.. I'll keep you updated.

I have not taken mms1 by capsule yet, but I have takent the mms2 caps. It seems to me most of the time the caps are dissolved within 10 minutes of taking them, usually just a few minutes. Once in a while one gets stuck in your throat and takes longer to dissolve, and when it is mms2 that is kind of a drag because it doesn't have all the water to dilute it by that time.

Based on my experience, once the cap dissolves I think the active ingredient, chlorine dioxide, is absorbed very fast, probably within 1-2 minutes at the most. I say this because when I take mms1 the usual way in water, and when I am fighting nausea with each dose, I will start feeling the nausea almost immediately upon swallowing the mms1 dose with water. And this is true whether my stomach is full of food or whether I take it in the middle of a meal, the nausea hits right away.

I think absorption of the mms1 is like absorption of juices on the gerson juice therapy that I do. When I first started juice therapy, I could often feel the effects of the juice hit my blood stream almost immediately upon swallowing, again regardless of how much food was present. It seems to me the body regards the juice and the mms1 as beneficial substances that can be readily absorbed, and it does so immediately.

Does the smell/taste of the mms1 bother you quite a bit? Whenever I take 5 drops or less I can take it with half a cup of water and not have any problem. I say this because you may want to try that method where you make up your full day's doses, add them to 1 liter of water or juice (no vit. C, covered container) and sip or drink it throughout the day.

Also, do you not have any symptoms at all when you take 3 drop doses every hour for 8 hours in a row? By the second day for sure I start having nausea at that level.

Yes the taste/smell is too much that I cannot get past it so I resort to capsules and even have to avoid smelling the mix while mixing. I tried making up a days dose in a closed container like you mention but went to drink the first dose and gagged. So I'm back to capsules.

As far as symptoms...not really any symptoms at all. That is why I feel like something is wrong, like maybe the citric acid is bad or something because if it does this to everyone (symptoms) why is it not doing so to me? This is why I doubt MMS. I believe it works just frustrated it has not worked for me yet.

I do get a headache from time to time right after taking MMS. I don't know if that is coincidence or because of the MMS itself. Also, I don't believe there is any nausea after taking MMS just some gag reflex.

I am once again questioning whether or not I am doing this right. Should I just get some fresh citris acid powder to be sure?

I think your citric acid is working fine because of the smell, gagging, yellow--all that indicates chlorine dioxide just like it is supposed to. The headaches are probably detox/herx from the mms; that is a common symptom too, expecially since you are getting it right after taking. It is a blessing that you don't have the nausea. After you have been at the 3 drop level for a few days, then it would be worth it to try 4 drops and see what happens.
