I was given this by someone that had contacted Jim Humble a year or so ago because the stronger dose of MMS made thier teeth hurt. So I've been useing for mouthwash and brushing with no problems. 1/2 teaspoon really full which is 3ml's too 2 cups distilled water with few drops peppermint oil for taste. Shake up before use each time. oh and don't activate it at all. Was told that if there is any kind of bad bacteria in mouth that , that would activate the mms. Please let me know if you have heared of this formula and if you contact Jim ask about this. Exact proportions are always nice, no guess work. Thank you for any help. Orv

I will send an inquiry to Jim about this idea.

I've been using another recipe for mouthwash recently. I make it up for each dose, but it's pretty easy, particularly if you have a DMSO bottle with a dropper cap. I activate 6 drops of MMS1, wait 20 seconds and add 2 tbsp. water and 12 drops of DMSO and stir. Then I take it into my mouth and swish it around and gargle for 30 seconds. This seems to be having a strong beneficial impact on the health in my mouth. I have a tooth that was cracked by a popcorn kernel a couple of years ago, and I've heard that if oral health is supported the teeth can actually repair themselves. I'm giving this a shot.

BTW, the strong electrical impact and the taste of the MMS seem to be reduced with the addition of the DMSO, otherwise it's quite difficult for me to stand.

Anyone using CloSys mouthwash and read the ingredients? I want to make my own solution of this stuff. I use it in my waterpick machine.

CloSYS™ Antiseptic Oral Rinse contains: purified water, trisodium phosphate, stabilized chlorine dioxide and citric acid.
CloSYS Flavor Control™ dropper contains: Natural mineral oil and peppermint oil.

You see stabilized chlorine dioxide and citric acid in this stuff!!!

so it appears they are using sodium chlorite and activating it? then it appears this is in a alkaline solution trisodium phosphate (TSP) which is known to be a water softener used in dishwashing detergent and a food preservative.

A few questions.... "stabilized" chlorine dioxide appears to some patented process... so they claim. so how do they stabilize it? in the solution of TSP?

Chlorine dioxide is made from the Sodium Chlorite when you add the citric acid but it is unstable i have read. so when you add the TSP would this make it stable? But then wouldn't it return it back to Sodium Chlorite? since the TSP is alkaline.

I guess what is this so called "unique, patented Chlorine Dioxide System" they state on the product, which i have in front of me right now. Also states; "Mild pH balanced formula". and "designed for dental irrigation devices".

I read here that some just use the sodium chlorite and allow the acid in your mouth activate it. but the TSP addition and the ingredients of Closys interest me as I want to make this solution up ahead of time, say 32oz bottle and use when I need it. Gotta be a way.

How long does activated mms stay fresh in a sealed container?

I suppose if I made up some unactivated mms and used alkaline water or maybe this is where the TSP come in? it would stop the sodium chlorite from activating rather than using regular distilled or purified water, which is acidic, right?

then you would use the acid in your mouth to activate it?

Don't know, just some random thoughts, anyone have any ideas on how to make a batch up ahead of time like this?

if so what proportion for a 32oz bottle?

I was thinking of adding DMSO to the solution as well? good / bad?

I hope this isn't to confusing, thanks for the input, ideas!

PS: I have been using MMS1 & MMS2 for the last 4 weeks to fight off Candida overgrowth.

I'm a newbie, so I have no clue. However I did think that was very interesting, I use that mouthwash myself.

If I were you I'd make a new post about this. Re-post as a new topic.

I'd be interested in everyone's thoughts, ideas!
