A study which followed subjects for 15 years found that higher levels of silica ( diatomaceous earth) in water appeared to decrease the risk of dementia. The study found that with an increase of 10 milligram-per-day of the intake of silica in drinking water,
the risk of dementia dropped by 11%.

I just bought 50 lbs (that's the size of the bag) of food grade DE from my local (organic) gardening store. Cost $32.50. Buying in smaller amounts ups the price considerably - Don't get the stuff from the swimming pool store, it's got added chemicals.

Is this for internal use for you Pam ?

I have often wondered how the DE compares to Calcium Bentonite Clay, and the difference it has on the body.

It easily dissolves in water, is odorless and tasteless.
Best to take in the morning and at noon, since it will
increase the urine flow.

I'd be very interested in knowing more about internal dosing. Would you happen to know where I can obtain that? ... or what you recommend?
