Welcome! 1st of all I would respond in your original post as others have but my capabilities at this time only allow me to open a new topic in order to speak or I can stlll send and receive private messages. Many people who are near and dear to me have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Some have since died and some are stll alive gathering information and faced with critical decisions to make. I am a retired pharmacist. My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Because he was older than I gather you are his doctors recommended he take a shot every three months which was deposited as a glob just under the skin near his abdomen. The medication in that glob slowly leached out into his system over the course of three months and then he would get another shot. He also took about 2 tablespoonfuls of flax oil along with buttermilk every day. He ran out of the flax oil and terrible pains returned in his legs. He resumed taking the flax oil and the pains subsided. Dad was born in 1916. My mother died the end of February 2002. Dad died 5 months later in August 2002. I was with him when he died. ...I said all that to say this. Dad took that shot faithfully every 3 months for several years. The last shot dad took was in early June 2002 after mom died. Right after the shot he began to experience swelling and could not fasten his belt. I got a copy of the package insert provided with the shot and zeroed in on the "possible" side effects listed in the "brochure". I notified his doctor and pointed out my observation that he appeared to be experiencing an allergic reaction to the medication which interestingly was the 1st "possible" "side effect" listed in the "brochure" and even went so far as to suggest that the toxic glob should immediately be surgically removed. The doctor did not agree and what did I know. (Just as much if not more than he did and I certainly had a lot more at stake) I would like to add that over the course of the three remaining months of his life he suffered each and every side effect listed in that brochure in the order listed refusing to believe that the doctor could be in error or that this could be happening to him. Death by injection slow and so subtle but nonetheless MURDER!
