When I take MMS every hour, it depletes my iodine levels a little. If I take it once or twice a day it doesn't have much impact on it. My friend also noticed their iodine levels were depleted when using MMS every hour as well.

If people are taking MMS to solve a thyroid issue, it doesn't make much sense because the thyroid is designed specifically to make use of iodine and selenium. MMS may deal with other issues that were contributing to the thyroid problems, but there is no substitute for iodine.

@ Cougarwia

You mentioned how the MMS was killing off the Candida that was damaging your thyroid, but iodine would do the same, as well as give the thyroid the specific mineral it needs to make thyroid hormone and function correctly. Your thyroid needs iodine. There is no getting around that.

I think people forget that MMS is quite a universal tool, but it still needs to be used correctly. It does not make sense ignoring specific tools for their purpose and using a universal one in it's place unless there is good reason for doing so.

What you say dhas merit.  My naturopath told me not to use iodine due to hashimoto's disease (which we have healed).   I do not know as much about iodine as I should, would love to know more, can you recommend anything?

I'm not surprised your naturopath said that, most of them don't understand iodine and even have a fear of it. Read this link for a slightly different opinion:

ichealer.com/iodine-deficiency-and-hashimotos/

Although conventional medicine has not identified a root cause for Hashimoto’s, I have discovered through my research that Hashimoto’s (and Graves’s disease) are often caused by both iodine deficiency and gluten sensitivity (Brownstein, 2014).  Please keep in mind that nearly all conventional doctors and under the misinformed opinion that iodine supplementation causes autoimmune thyroid diseases. However, the research does not support this hypothesis. In fact, over the last 40 years, iodine levels have significantly fallen while autoimmune thyroid disorders have been rising in epidemic levels. This also correlates with a rise in iodine deficiency.

Given that iodine is required for life, you'd think they would look a little deeper. If you want to know more about iodine I recommend the book 'Iodine Why You Need it by David Brownstein and 'The Iodine Crisis: What You Don't Know About Iodine Can Wreck Your Life by Lynne Farrow '

How do you know using MMS every hour depletes your iodine levels a little?

Do you do some blood test to check them?

MMS can't get rid of Candida as it builds up a protective wall that mms can't destroy. However, CLAY can. That is why we need to do the mold protocole before doing the 1000. Very important or else we waste time. You can find in in Jim's book PDF
