I already have that book but have not read it yet. I received it while ago. I heard that this diet is very difficult and expensive to follow, what do you think? Anyhow I will read it because as you mentioned it would give you some knowledge about what foods and how they effect your body.
By the way my first lang is Persian. But I usually read things in Eng. I am currently living in Australia.

I didn't mean junk foods.....I completely agree with you in eating healthy . But the problem is, since I got this disease I cannot even enjoy some type of foods which are not considered junk, such as grains, beans, dairy products, raw vegetables, gluten.... the only unhealthy food I like to take is coffee with sugar, right now I dont drink coffee much because of its caffeine and sugar is considered as a poison for me. Another issue is as we all know even veg and fruits in the markets are not healthy because they all are contaminated with pesticides and other chemicals which they use to grow them faster. So in order to be healthy should we eat all organic, which most ppl cannot afford.
I know there are many people who have done this protocol and got remission or cure but with my condition which is sever I cannot believe I could get to that stage.
It's been now more than two weeks I am taking cds except a day or two and even though at the beginning I noticed a lot of improvement still there are some days that I see a lot of fresh blood.
Is there anyone here who have had this disease and finally got cure by mms? I need to know how they did go with it and what did they experience during the protocol. Is that normal some days after improvement of bowel condition, it aggravates?
These are all the questions that I appreciate anyone who care to answer.

At the end of the day , you are what you eat.
Ps, I forgot to mention my friends father also ate the same wild pork and they both developed ulcerative colitis withen a week of each other.

If you like honey, (which is actually digested in a different part of the stomach than sugar), you will be pleased
I think the biggest thing about diets and shifts in diets that make them "difficult" is that we have all gotten used to being able to prepare food quickly, usually it's pre-prepared, and we sort of fall into a "eat your favorite foods without thinking" stance - and this does require time and planning. Once you get used to it, it's OK, but the initial part (we are such creatures of habit!
) is more difficult.Pam

Pam suggested to follow the diet in the book ' breaking the vicious cycle'. I took cds for a bout 3 weeks and it didn't put me in remission. I have to admit that cds wont work alone without following a strict diet. I read the book and now trying to follow the diet...but the problem is it has mentioned when the flare up is severe one should postpone eating even cooked fruits and vegetables for 3 months later when diarreaha is under control! I am wondering what I can eat for a few months until my intestine can handle such foods? The book doesn't mention what should we allow to eat for the first few months when flare up is so severe. Any idea plz let me know Pam, Woofy or anyone who knows. I started the diet today and I have only ate chicken...dont know what to eat for dinner....i had no breakfast caz didn't know what to eat.

Woofy, this diet was formulated by a doctor and the woman who wrote the book had a daughter that was a patient of the doctor. She cured her daughter with it - daughter had colitis, as I recall. In the process of curing the daughter, the mom went back to school and got a masters in bio-chemistry (if I'm remembering right - it was an advanced degree, and it's been 10 years since I read it) - specifically to research WHY the diet worked for this doctor's patients.
Most nutritionists today in the US are taught based on the prevailing food pyramid at the time put out by the FDA - That's a whole different thing. They have no real knowledge of physiology and how it affects handling of foods - so, in the case, say, of someone with gastric bypass, their recommendations are frequently not helpful.
We all have different bodies, different chemistries and physiologies. I don't think we can blanket recommend that the acid/alkaline issue will work for EVERYONE - maybe for many, but not for everyone - I think it's much more complex than that.
It's possible that the bacteria in the keifr is not the ones that are recommended in "Breaking the vicious cycle" - and yes, for many there are allergies to wheat, even if the bread is homemade.
