Would like to make CDS from scratch like the guy in Mexico did. How to make CDS in only 3 minutes! . Mixing the NaClO2 in with the citric acid and directly making CDS directly from those gases.

Is there a difference in the powder/flakes? I see older MMS videos using those flakes but stores seem to carry the powder which seems to be more manageable.

For example:
www.buymms.biz/products/1-pound-sodium-chlorite-powder

Also since citric acid can be had from lemon juice, is it possible to generate this same gas using lemon juice instead of the citric acid? Lastly why do most people use 50% citric acid?

Thanks

steve can answer about the difference between the flakes and the powder. I use the flakes. Most stores here in the states carry the flakes.

The 50% citric acid activates quicker. All the CDS videos that Jim Humble and Andreas have done have used the 50% citric acid. Personally, I would use the 50% (actually, it's what I do use, making CDS) -

Yes, lemon juice is also citric acid. YOu need 5 drops of lemon juice for one drop of MMS1, and it takes 6+ times as long to activate.

The difference between flakes and powder is -
the flakes u add to water and stir then bottle and use.
With the powder u add o water and stir then u cover and wait for the sedement to settle, on the bottom (takes at least a few hours). Once solution is clear u shud skim any oils from the top, then pour or filter the NaClO2 from the stuff on the bottom.

Much easier to use flakes, but much harder to get them in sum places nowdays

The powder I use has no sediment or oil at all. I include that step in the directions, because its just a good practice no matter what you are using.
Most Sodium chlorite is Tech Grade, and sometimes has a speck or two in it.

The only kind I've seen that had a film on top was some old Vulcan Flakes from the plant in Louisiana. Oxychem has since acquired Vulcan.
I've heard of oily film from some of the overseas suppliers in Asia and India.

I saw some NaClO2 from China, that was crystally like salt. It was labeled as 80% Tech Grade, but I bet a dollar it was damn close to 90, or full of chlorate. It got so dark so fast, and sizzled.... LOL.

I'm not sure who is sourcing from where as far as most vendors go. If you can find Oxychem Flakes or Ecros/Aragonesas Powder, it's a good clean product.

So if I want to make my own you definitely think I should go the powder route? Powder NaClO2 and powder C6H8O7?

Here I have never got powder that does not need to be filtered. I used to be able to get flakes but not anymore. I dont buy large quantities as it has up until now been mostly for my own use and a few others. I am now supplying and wud like to supply the best possible product.

The last batch I bought 1kg has sedement and takes a while to clear., it also had oil on top.

I think the importers here gett the NaClO2 from Asia.

This is why I want to produce myself.

My last batch turns dark brown, but no bubbles or anything like that.

I am always looking for flakes here, but its been more than a year since I got any. We only have 3 main suppliers I no of and they only do powder which needs to b filtered.

I also got sum flakes from supplier in USA, only a small jar took more than 8 weeks to arrive and cost almost 3 times as much as it does to get powder local.

Any advise appreciated
