Hmmmm. I am not sure I'd wait for 8 hours. What is your reasoning? or is it a schedule problem? Diarrhea is a problem but he still need fluids. CDS is probably not causing any further diarrhea where MMS may. Can you get anti-diarrhea OTC meds down him? In the baby section, there is electolytes for babies already to go. Perhaps that will help?
Praying for the little tyke!

More than likely you will have to syringe all this stuff down him. Sounds like he is fading fast and may not have the strength or desire. I believe the MMS only lasts in the system for 2 hours. Probably the same with CDS. For what it is worth my my instinct tells me, for now, till diarrhea is taken care of, go with the CDS every 1.5 to 2 hours. If you have acess to collidal silver use that inbetween or perhaps better still alternate 1 then the other. That is what was done in, I believe, South America or someplace with horses that were dying left and right.
Google MMS for horses and see what you get.

No schedule problem, just didnt want him to lose more fluids because of what I am doing. I will head up to farm now and try again with more CDS, I don't have any colloidal silver. I'l give the MMS a miss until his diarrhea stops and continue with CDS every couple of hours, do you agree?

That is what I would do if he were my calf! What does anyone else think? Have you any pepto or anything to help diarrhea? I he gets to where he will eat and still has diarrhea perhaps some cooked oatmeal and mashed bananas put in after the cooking. Don't know if a cow will eat this but you never know?!

I agree with Horsefeathers on all her advice - stick to CDS - as afar as I can tell it doesn't induce diarrhea .

You might try giving him a chaser of water (or milk) after every dose as personally I couldn't take 2 cc's in 1/2 glass as it burned - until I used the chaser method. That may be why he's gone off it.

Thanks Horsefeathers, Iv just got back from checking on calf, a couple of hours ago he didnt want to know at all, but this time he eagerly took every last drop and wanted more. He had wind and a small amount of diarrhea while I was there. He seemed perky, (compared to earlier) I think he was just really keen to get a drink! Im going to keep administering CDS every two hours until diarrhea has stopped and then I can try some MMS. What are peoples opinions on the dose I am giving him (6000ppm ish CDS x4cc every two hours in roughly 1/4 litre water) Also do you think I should visit him at the same intervals through the night, dosing him as well, I would be happy to if this may help. I know in humans we would normally do 8-10 hours worth and stop through night but he is very ill and am thinking at least for tonight to keep at it, what do you think, would this be a bit too much for him?

Good advice Fourfingerz, Iv drank some myself (while I was giving him his dose) as I thought the same as you, I am happy it is diluted enough in the 1/4 litre of water. It tastes fine to me with no burning and he was so keen to drink it this last time, it took 25 x 10ml syringes filled with the solution, squirted into his mouth to finish the dose, the whole time he was very keen. How do you feel about me trying to give him milk every so often, should I try and give some milk inbetween the 2 hourly doses. I don't want to get in the way of the CDS but he has to get something nutritious in him surely? I dont know just yet what feeding schedule the farmer has him on, I will ask as soon as he finishes milking

I have not had time to read the thread, but I found out how Andreas is making the CDI.

You start with an isotonic sea water mix, then add CDS, then add a few drops of unactivated MMS to bring the pH up to the isotonic pH.

To make isotonic: 2 parts hypertonic (undiluted sea water) to 5 parts filtered water.
Injectible CDS: Isotonic, CDS, MMS few drops to raise pH.

I don't have exact measurements, but that is how Andreas is doing it. You can find out what will work by putting it in your own eyes. The isotonic mix itself feels great in your eyes, no burning at all. When you get the mix of the ingredients right, you can put it in your eyes and it should not burn. It appears you end up with a large amount to inject because of the dilution with the isotonic.

Here are some more sea water recipes:
Sea water drink Recipe: 2-3 oz sea water; 7oz water; juice from one lemon; 1/2 tsp xylitol.
Eyedrops: 2oz isotonic, 10-25 drops CDS, keep in fridge.
Eardrops: 2oz isotonic, 1ml CDS, keep in fridge.
Nose congestion: tilt head back, 3-4 drops hypertonic sea water, works fast, liquifies congestion.

Sea water is the key to the Isotonic. Go to the sea and get it if you can. Take it from an area where there are many small fish and take it from a little below the surface.

Hmmm. Sounds like you are on the right track. You may want to continue into the night, say till midnight, 1 am or so. Then let him rest till about 6, 7 or 8 am. I would probably take my cue by how he is acting and behaving. If he is really looking forward to it I might continue. If he is doing well but not super eager I might let him rest and start early in the morning. I just wouldn't let it go by to many hours as he needs help fighting whatever this is and you don't want it to get the upper hand in the night. Does the calf have a momma that can nurse him? Or is he dependant on the farmer for all his food?

I didn't know CDS could burn and needs diluting. This is good to know! Thank You!
