Hi Clint,
Great article! It may indeed become necessary to double, or even triple my dosage, but it's also important to increase slowly, as not to shock the thyroid. Because I just started last week, I'm going to hang out at 3 drops per day for the time being. Even at that dosage I am amazed at the changes and results I am getting. I feel completely different (in a good way) than I did a week ago!
I'm going to forward this article to my family and friends

I recently came upon MMS and FGHP therapy at the same time. And NOW more recently, I stumbled into old therapies, like turpentine!
And I always support peoples right to choose whichever therapy they see fit to take!

youtube- daniels, why turpentine is good for your health most excellent info with instructions and warnings for proper preparation prior to using turp should you choose to do so.

I have some NASCENT Iodine.....I wonder how that compares.
I just started taking mine...again! I take some stuff regularly, and others I space out how often I take it.
The last time I took it, I didn't seem to notice much, but lots of stuff has changed since then.
I recall, several years ago, I stumbled into rainbow advanced superfood vitamin and I actually felt better
Tho I never could figure out what it was in the pill that did the trick!...which was quite frustrating. The next time I recall
was in the 90's and I had bought solgar with sulphur, and it too made a difference I could feel,
But I forgot what the sulphur was mixed with and have been unable to figure it out...I even asked
various health food stores and nobody could remember, there are too many formulation changes all the time.
It may have just been a synergy between the sulphur and what else was in the bottle....because I've
taken MSM and it had no impact I could feel!
I'm currently reevaluating my vitamin regime as everyone should....

KJ,
Am glad you are listening to your body, and are that much in tune with it .... I think you're doing the right thing ... some people need way more to kick start the thyroid and adrenals when they have a compromised endocrine system. If you are getting this good of a reaction right off the start, it's a good sign that your recovery will be less time... cause most people take months to start to see results when taking iodine.
Kenneth:
Kelp can be one way, but it is much slower... cause we are assuming that a person's digestion is normal, and can breakdown the sea weed enough to get the iodine from it ... most can't when they are in recovery.
As for the kelp in particular, Dusle is one of the highest iodine containing sea vegetables. If you go to say a WholeFoods store, they for sure have it in their Macrobiotic section, sold as flakes ... just sprinkle it on your veggies.
When I was a chef, I used to make a Dulse salad with cucumbers and red onions ... it was very tasty.

I have ... and to be honest, I am not crazy about the iodine being preserved in alcohol, as well as the strength of it is so weak, you'd have to be dropping a little too much alcohol in your system to get a properly recommended dose. Not good for people who are trying to get well that have additional candida and yeast infection.
The pills, from Biotics Research, (in my opinion) are a safer, healthier way to go, as they contain more bio available iodine that is easily absorbed into the system.... cause they are a lab that makes their supplements that are pharmaceutical grade, not a vitamin company.
Our bodies use two types of iodine:
Iodine and Iodide.
IODIZYME-HP supplies 2.5 mg of iodine and 3.75 mg of iodide per 1/2 tablet.
just my 2c

Replied by KennethWalter on topic Re: Iodine - Dr. James Howenstine "Iodine is Vital to Health"
I remember seeing Dr Howenstein on news with views a while back,
I was so impressed, I bought Mom his book ,but I failed to read it myself!!!
How many times have we done that, where something catches our eye, but we fail to give it
the time it truly deserves until much later!
I'll have to get Mom to find the book and pull it out for me...no telling what treasures I passed up for soooooo long!
I'm wondering, just exactly who convinced the food industry to change into this bromide garbage
and turn their backs on iodine? Could it possibly be the same forces behind the minimum rda's which are woefully inadequate?
I cannot fathom the industry, out of the clear blue sky just decided on their own to change history, on a whim!
..
If you really wanna know how I feel, I'll stop holding back!
Thank you so much for the reminder!

The 125mg per day still sounds high compared to some of the articles recommending a high of 47-50mg per day. Anyone have direct experience with this? Is this what you're taking Michael?
