I agree Steve, but as Pam said, in some country there is no other way to pay or receive money.
I have to use it all the time, and with small amounts there should be no problem.
For me it is a great tool and I would be totally stacked without it.

Don't forget, peoples in poor countries don't have Credit Cards !!!

Peter - I so agree with you!

My area of work here in Africa is with rural folks who really do not have the money to readily pay for treatments. They are then stuck with getting ARV's for a tiny fee from the Clinics (and we know where that leads them to...)

So it is my mission to also get the accreditation from the Church - so as to be recognised both sides of the equation. We have had such great results from using just MMS1 protocols (I have quite a few HIV success stories on hand now, down to HIV neg results on blood work) but cannot put it out into the main stream. The doctors freak out when they find out that patients have quit their treatments on drugs, yet go in for testing to have security of mind.

But - as it is in my path to do this work (albeit small) I am happy to take informed views with just helping people out with education and a bit of support.

PayPal in Tanzania only allows you to pay but not to receive, and as Steve says they suck.... period....

Most people do not even have a bank account let alone are they computer literate to use PayPal etc.....

Mobile telephone banking seems to be the future....
