got sick 5 days after finishing 25 day detox

I'm perplexed, and I'm sure others can help me see what I'm not.  I haven't been sick in maybe 7 years or so.  Look after my health, but decided to do the Protocol 1000, as a detox.  I followed  Jim Humble's instructions to a tee!   I did struggle with getting to 3 drops, but got there in the end.  When I finished, I really didn't feel much different, although I was clearer in the mind.  Then 5 days later I've come down with a pretty bad cold that has had me in bed for 3 days!  It has really hit me hard!   But why? when I've just detoxed?  Did I strip my immune system in the process of the detox? Any ideas?
