Hello -- I am new to using MMS. I bought my MMS and Activator from Genesis 2. I followed the starting protocol, and then started the Protocol 1000. I am now on Day 16 since first starting. By the time I worked up to 1 drop an hour, I had a mild sore throat and a mild headache, but otherwise felt fine. I decided to move to 2 drops per hour, but by the end of the 8 hours I had a very bad sore throat, different than being sick. So I went back to 1 drop per hour for a few days until the sore throat resolved. Then I tried easing into 2 drops per hour - by alternating 1 drop, then 2 drops, then back to 1 drop, etc. for 8 hours. I also tried 4 hours @ 1 drop, then 4 hours at 2 drops. Same result every time, very sore (burned) throat by the end of the day. At no time did I experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or excessive tiredness. I am considering trying 1.5, or 1.25, drops per hour, and then slowly trying to build up.

So my questions are: Has anyone else had this response (a very sore throat), and if so did it eventually go away? What does it mean? If I am unable to go above 1 drop per hour, will I still get the benefits? Am I on the right track?

I am a relatively active and healthy 59 year old, no complaints or illnesses. I am doing this for a general detox, and to eliminate any toxins I may have that I am not aware of. Thank you for any advice or input.

Is the MMS activator you have 50% citric acid or 4% HCL?

It's 4% HCL.

As you may know, MMS in MMS1 when activated for 30 seconds is about 10% activated and we rely on stomach acid to further activate the residual MMS.

Therefore, the residual MMS and/or 4% HCL activator in MMS1 may be the cause of your throat irritation. I presume you are making fresh MMS1 doses hourly? How much and what type of water are you using to mix with your hourly doses?

MMS in CDH is about 50% activated when made. You could try making and using CDH using the same MMS and 4% HCL you have been using to make MMS1. Using the recipe shown in this video, 1 ml of CDH is made from 1 drop of MMS, so equivalent dosing compared to MMS1 would be 1 ml CDH to 1 drop of MMS used to make MMS1.

Let us know the results. Thanks!

Thanks so much for this helpful suggestion. I will look at the video. For today I have dropped back to 1.25 drops per hour.

Yes, I am making fresh doses hourly, using 4 ounces of bottled spring water. I pour off after mixing for 30 seconds if I need a smaller dose.

(I was using distilled water when I first started, and when I tried 2 drops for the first time and got a sore throat.)

Distilled water is more acidic than 'spring water'. Will be interesting to see if CDH makes a difference in your throat irritation. Field trial in progress! We appreciate your participation. :)

Are distilled water and spring water interchangeable when making CDH, or should I use only distilled?

To make sure I understand, if I want to test out the CDH equivalent of [MMS1 made using 2 drops of MMS], I would drink 2 ml of CDH?

Thanks again for your knowledge -

I have used filtered well water to make CDH and CDS, although testing seems to show that DW produces a little more CLO2 when making CDS.

The linked chart will show equivalent dosing for CDH and CDS when used for ingestion and non-ingested purposes. For ingestion, we are assuming all the residual MMS in MMS1 is activated, although we can't measure it. The external chart came from CLO2 measurements.

Don't forget to add 4 fl oz of water to your CDH doses.

So here is my feedback, in case it helps anyone: I made a batch of CDH using 220 ml distilled water, 10 ml MMS, 10 ml HCL. I let it sit in a dark place for 24 hours, then moved it to the fridge. I took 1 ml per hour in 4 oz spring water for 8 hours, but by the end of the day my throat felt raw and I had a mild headache. Tried it a second day, same thing. It seems like I can't go above 1 drop activated MMS or 1 ml CDH without getting a raw throat by the end of the day. Today I am trying 0.5 ml CDH to see how that goes.
