Beloved 7 yr old black lab mix has cancer. Will this medicine cure the dog. The cancer/ infection is located in left hind leg. Been to vet, super costly. Wants to take off leg but may have spreadable cancer/ infection to other parts of body. Carries hind leg, gets around good, eating and drinking. Been giving two drops each 2X day. Seems to be feeling a little better, not whining. BUT leg has huge knot with swelling to end of paw, the knot above the knee jt. Has been there for months, started out small then grew huge, no swelling. Now we have swelling. Do I keep giving the mms. ? When should I increase dosage and how many X's a day? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Please note: we do not have or will we have the funds for another Vet trip. So if this doesn't work...

HI!
Sorry to hear about your dog.
MMS should be given every hour for 8 hours a day then stop and start the next day.
Start with 1 drop every hour with 1 ml water or broth for each drop given. If all goes well give 2 drops every hour with 2 ml water or broth for each drop given and so on till you reach a point where dog is not doing well. Then stop and give no more till dog recovers. The next day restart with 1 less drop than the day before. Example if dog get sick, vomiting or diarrhea at say 6 drops then stop for the day and let dog recover. The next day give 5 drops every hour for 8 hours. After a few days try for an extra drop. When you reach that point you may have to go by adding only 1/2 or 1/4 drop extra each hour. Dog should be happy and have energy. If not, dose is to strong.

PS If you can try and feed your dog well with proper food. Store bought kibble usually doesn't help. There is lots of info on the web about making your own dog food and this would be much better for him/her. That is what I did for my Lady. She lost a lump that was on her belly and we changed her food. She was, I think, 10 years old at the time and lived a very comfortable and happy 2 more years! The diet change I believe makes a big difference. After all, the dog food stuff is nasty and what meat they get is diseased and sick stuff. Additional benefits is that her breath cleared up and so did her body odor! Boy! Was that nice!
