A 50% solution of mms would be non-standard.

28% solution is standard for mms.

I use Steve’s chart found here:

www.keavyscorner.com/How-to-make-MMS-s/2089.htm

You will need a gram scale to produce consistently good quality solutions. Mine is good to .01 gram . One with the ability to turn off the "auto off" feature is good while your early in the learning curve. Use no metals for storage or stirring - use plastic or glass

Im chemist and that table that you make Reference are wrong. Because the density of water is 1 gr / ml in other word to make a 28% solution of sodium chlorite (80% purity) you weight 28 gram put those gram in a volumetric flack and fill to the mark with water.

If you check the table to prepare 1 liter or 1000 ml. You need to weight 340 g. That 60 grams more than 10 times the original 28gram in 100 ml solution in water.

1000mg water - 28% = 720mg water + 280mg 80% SC flakes = 1000mg 28% SC solution

720mg water / 2.57 = 280mg 80% SC flakes

yes
why does the table say 340g per Liter and not 280?
Table suggests a weight of 1220g for 1L

I am not a chemist, so my brain is melting here.....

My three cent sugestion. Before weight the sodium chlorite try to make the flakes a fine powder that Way you créate more surface to be expose to water an enter in solution quicker.

If JB is using 280 grams 80% to make a Liter of MMSU, then I may have been doing it wrong all these years.
I have been following the table and using .375 OZ per fluid ounce which looks like a near 40% solution and not 28
Could someone do the math on the chart and post what 340 grams of MMS and a Volume of 1L. percentage is please.
I'm seeing 34% here...maybe because it is only 80% and not 100 and that may be the difference. :pinch: :S
28 +25% to make 100% out of 80%....is 25% of 28 is 7.
7 + 28 = 35 (340)
