How to avoid irritation/burning in throat? was created by adi
Hi there, even with 1 drop in a cup of water, the back and front of my throat start burning after a few gulps? How would I avoid this? Mix with yogurt? Take deactivated? Is it even possible to take deactivated?

I am assuming your activating with 50% citric acid. That could be the problem. Try diluting the acid to to 1/2 strength and activate with that solution. Let it activate for longer ~ a minute or 2. try again. If it's better then it is the acid.

ive never had a problem with throat burning but i have waited instead of 20-30 seconds with 50% citric i wait 1 minute or little longer then pour the water in and the taste isnt as bad as when i wait 20 seconds i also add dmso i know yo have to wait 3 minutes for activation of dmso but i just mix and take. anyways that might help with burning just let it activate longer..........pam? lol

OK, but I wonder if waiting longer than the 20secs is detrimental to the strength of the mms. I've tried taking it with more water, but if the number of molecules hitting the back of the throat is still the same, then it won't and doesn't make any difference if I take it with more water.
I remember speaking to a naturopath who said you can take mms straight and by the time it gets to the end of the digestive tract it's all activated anyway.

Actually, when you wait 1 minute, you get more of the chlorine dioxide solution - I don't have a link to share just yet, but Charlotte has been doing experiments with MMS, 505, 33% and 10%, and HCl activation times. As soon as she gets through experimenting, I'm sure she will put the results up on
www.mmsinfo.org
Preliminary results show that you get the best activation with MMS1 at the 1 minute mark.

Hi,
I´ve got the same problem but with CDS. I take CDS in a strength of 150 -175ppm (100ml of that per dose). The last two gulps of each dose always burn a lot in the throat. Diluting with more water doesn´t help. Swirling right before drinking doesn´t either. It´s always the last two gulps that burn like hell.
So I suppose that it´s the gas. On the other hand why do most people don´t have a burning problem then....?

Yes. I do experience a mild burning sensation when taking CDS.
It's not too bad, and doesn't last very long. So I'm not worried.
I'm not sure what concentration the CDS is, but I'm sure it's pretty high.

If you take a sip of MMS/CDS/CDH and hold the solution in your mouth for a while, maybe 20-60 seconds, some of the CLO2 will be absorbed in your mouth. Since there is now less CLO2 in the solution, there will be less throat burning when you finally swallow. You aren't losing any CLO2, as it will be absorbed in your mouth.
This method has been called the Mouth Holding Method (MHM).

I have two possible ideas on this. I have felt this burning sensation sometimes too. One idea I came up with was when I take a deep breath before drinking the solution I was breathing in the gas and was burning the throat and the other idea either way was that the MMS was healing something in my throat. Usually when the burning was going away, which was also causing me to cough or clear my throat, I would get a little phlegm, then when that cleared no more burning.
Today I started taking MMS using capsules. What a wonderful invention. Drinking it was getting repulsive.

If you drink from a small mouth bottle, you should not smell anything unless you can get your nose inside the bottle opening.
Drinking from a glass or cup you will notice that your nose is inside the glass right over the MMS/CDS/CDH.
If you don't smell it you probably won't taste it.
