MMS and baking soda - still bad taste...

So I did like this: I took 1 liter of water with PH of 7 and put in my activated 30 drops of MMS, after that I added a little at a time of baking soda, until I reached the PH of 5,5, measuring with a electronic device....
Did I do anything wrong???
