I got Lyme disease earlier this year and have been treating on and off with MMS. While I'm on the MMS I feel fine, but whenever I've stopped (the longest I took it for was 5 weeks), the symptoms start coming back.
I have read through all the posts on the forum and see that Jim Humble said that for Lyme disease you need to get as much MMS as possible into your system without nausea, and to do protocols 2000 and 3000, plus possibly baths. Currently I'm doing Protocol 1000+. So my question is, it seems that with Lyme, we need to bypass the golden rules. I.e. even if we are feeling better, instead of just continuing what we are doing, we should still take more and move on to the next protocol? So should I be moving on to Protocol 2000, even though I am feeling fairly good on 1000+? I'm doing 24 drops a day now with DMSO and baths most nights. Should Increase to 32 drops and see how I feel? Or start adding the MMS2? Any and all advice, especially from people who have been through this before, would be greatly appreciated.
I'm also planning to add monolaurin to my treatment, since it is supposed to be good against lyme and breaks the biofilm. It is not an antioxidant so shouldn't interfere with the MMS. I haven't tried any of the antioxidant herbs that are often used for Lyme disease, but if I do decide to at some point, I will make sure to space away from the MMS. I'm planning to continue with the MMS for at least six months this time, and from what I understand, a year would probably be better. Thanks for any additional insights you may have!

Hello Virginia. I found this info that may be useful for you.Hello,

"Indirect Antioxidant Support: While not an antioxidant itself, research indicates that monolaurin can improve the body's antioxidant capacity. For example, studies on piglets infected with viruses showed that monolaurin administration increased the activity of antioxidant enzymes like superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT)."
Also keep in mind the length of time an antioxidant can remain effective in your body. Coffee and most teas can stay effective in your body for up to 12 hours, so waiting an hour or two after drinking those before starting MMS dosing would not work.
