HIV Enteropathy

Recently at some conference in the US it was declared that viral load was not a predictor of mortality. But that HIV enteropathy was, continuous diarrhea that kills patient. Even in hospitals its a struggle to control the diarrhea...indeed most terminal patients end up like this.
Can one administer MM2 low dose to a patient with chronic diarrhea on ARV medication....and please any suggestions!
