Really appreciate being here. Thanks. I have a tremor so my wife just finished diluting 37% HCL to 4% for me. Part of what I am working on healing are GI issues so I wanted to work with HCL. The 1 liter of 37% came in a plastic bottle from Stellar Labs. Now I would like to store it safely. We don't have children so that's not an issue. It does freeze here so outside or in a shed might not be a good idea. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Strong HCL can be tricky to store safely. I had a small amount of 37% HCL in a glass bottle and that bottle was inside a larger plastic bottle. That HCL managed to escape from both bottles and caused a lot of damage. I no longer use HCL. If I have to use a liquid acid, I use much safer phosphoric acid.

I mainly use CDS and use citric acid when making CDS. Citric acid does not gas into CDS like HCL will do. I think you get my point that I do not like HCL.

My suggestion would be to not store HCL inside a living space. Not sure if freezing would be a problem. You could search out that info on the internet.

Shuddha Topic Author Offline New Member Posts: 3 Thank you received: 0	Thanks that is really helpful. I do have it in a living space so got to get it out of there. Yes freezing is a problem. I want to continue with HCL for now so maybe I'll put it in the crawl space with a dirt floor.

I know that if there is a leak surrounding metal will rust and I have never encountered that. I wouldn't worry too much about mice. There needs to be some yummy odor coming from whatever they are looking into pretty much, in my experience

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
