I just started looking into chlorine dioxide. Awesome stuff. But I am more interested in MMS2, calcium hypochlorite, which converts into hypochlorous acid in water. I have a hypochlorous acid generator already. Could I just take the solution it makes instead of MMS1 or MMS2 and get similar results?

I don't know the answer, and it would be difficult to offer suggestions and the like
without knowing more detailed information, like concentration of the solution and
some other info like that. (which can get tricky chemistry-wise)

And what is the created product originally supposed to be used for?

It might be (probably is) difficult to compare powdered Calcium Hypochlorite and
what you have as to percentages, amounts, etc...

I would probably just be easier to use the Ca(ClO)2 as described in
Jim Humble's "MMS Health Recovery Guidebook".

Unless you can figure out any conversions and such yourself, or
someone here knows something more.

Dear neocosmism,
I too came here to ask about MMS2 specifically. Maybe you can shed some light on my question?
First I'll say, ( though know I am not a chemist at all) but, I'll say: it sounds like you would then be
taking into your body a liquid: hypochlorous acid (Would that be that same as calcium hypochlorite in water?).
I say that, as it could help with your answer from people. (I was wondering if it was okay to add the granules to water first.
And drink the liquid.) ( Maybe that tastes terrible.. however..) I don't know. ( I never heard of a hyopcholrous acid generator. )

My question I would like to ask you... is about the fact that the calcium hypochlorite (granules) say 'harmful if swallowed'.
And although I trust Jim Humble, I am not so well versed, nor able to calculate chemical things, or be sure
of my own deductions on these matters, and so I really want to have a more experienced, or scientific soul tell me, that it is okay to put some granules
of Calcium Hypochlorite in a tightly sealed capsule, and swallow with lots of water as per the Health Recover Book. And that it will not burn my stomach.
My thread is a little ways down from yours. I hope you do not mind me asking you. I'm not sure if my post was too long, and so I
didn't get an answer, even though, it seems like it would benefit a lot of people like myself to know and hear this answer! Best wishes.

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
