I've been experimenting with MMS for over a year now and took the Video Seminar which was a great addition to the first and second books. However, all along the way as I experimented with MMS I seem to suffer from mucus in the sinuses and nasal passages, and need to blow my nose frequently to clear the mucus. It seems like I have a cold, but I think it's detoxification. Could somebody who knows about this please tell me what you know about it. I really like using my MMS. I just want to understand this phenomenon. Thanks.

What are you using to activate the mms? My son has been this way and we couldn't figure out why he was having so much mucos in his sinuses. It could be you are activating the mms with something your allergic to. We are still researching this. Michael had some good suggestions for us. Read the topic "Activation suggestions"

Welcome to the forum Dan!

I was thinking along the lines that Brenda has suggested if the mucous production is really persistent. Sometimes a dose or string of doses of MMS might give me some mucous but most of the time doses will clear congestion.

Most of the citric acid being used is made from microbrial fermentation (ie molds) and is not from citrus fruit. This can cause problems for those who may be sensitive.

Thank you both for these responses. I've been enjoying using the MMS over the past year. Actually it's been a little longer than that. It have used it to detoxify my body. I am obese. I'm 5 foot 4 and weigh about 280 lbs. I know that toxins love to hide out in fat tissue. So, I'm sure there are a lot of toxins hiding out in there.

I have used the MMS successfully to prevent flues. I used to get the flu almost every year at least a couple of times a year, but since using the MMS I have had no flues at all. So, I know it works. No doubt about it.

One other thing, I noticed that a couple of times I have had some cramping on the right side of my body in the liver and gall bladder area. It didn't last long. Only about 20 or 30 seconds, but it did hurt and I was able to make it go away by standing up and leaning backwards to stretch my abdomen muscles. I don't know if this is from the MMS or something else. I doubt the MMS would do this. Being obese doesn't help. I don't have any health concerns other than the obesity. I used to take blood pressure medications but noticed that I didn't need them once on the MMS. I also stopped taking the Cholesterol medications the doctors had me on. I prefer to use the MMS to clean out my arteries and veins.

One I need for you to know is that I have more or less experimented with the MMS by following the original protocol first and discovering things like fatigue at times but not most of the time, some brain fog which I thought was from heavy metals being removed from my nervous system. Once the new protocol came out, I started using that and found it much easier on me. I used the MMS off and on, and took the maintenance dosages at night for a while and then stopped taking maintenance dosages.

Recently I started back on a course of the 1000 protocol and have been on it for about two weeks now. I started it with 6 drops followed by and hour and another 6 drops. Shortly after the first 6 drops, I started noticing that I was about to hurl. So, I went to the bathroom to relieve myself. Felt much better afterwards. When I took the next 6 drop dose I had no more problems and went straight into the 3 drops per hour for 8 hours ever since. I notice that I'm feeling better, and there is no depression now. Very interesting. I think I'm going to stay on the maintenance dosages of 6 in the morning and in the evening. I am 61 years old. I have more energy, as well on this course of the MMS protocol 1000. I want to do the 3 weeks and then give the MMS2 and try along with the MMS1 just to see how this works. I have herpes simplex....the fever blister kind....and had an outbreak on my upper lip, so started soaking in the tub, too. This really helped a lot. I also sprayed on the lip with the 40 drops in a 4 ounce spray bottle.

This is a very long winded report, but I hope it is helpful. I will look at the suggested section on activation to see if I can try something else. I don't want to mess with vinegar. Perhaps lemon. I really like the convenience of using the 50% Citric Acid solution. Oh well. If something else works better, I'm all for it, if that's what I have to do to get the mucus to stop. It does stop at times, but the sinuses are a little stuffy. When I"m off the MMS for a period of several weeks, I notice the stuffiness and such completely goes away to my relief.

Thanks again for your responses. I really appreciate it.

Hi Dan,

Thank you for the detailed testimonial! I have had all sorts of short term reactions from taking doses of MMS, I don't get too concerned till something really persists. Many things can be caused indirectly because the MMS really does go right to work when you swallow it.

You might give the HCl (hydrochloric acid) a try that I just described here (genesis2forum.org/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=11&id=3303&Itemid=66) the 5th post down on the "Activation question" thread. It seems much more pleasant to me than citric acid.

Please do keep us posted on any new developments.

Thanks again,

Michael

The HCL is working and tastes better. No mucus now in sinuses or nasal passages. And I've increased my dosage according to my weight so I'm getting the recommended amount in my body. Being 280 lbs it seems I need 7 drops of MMS in the Protocol 1000 treatment. So, this is what I have been doing for the past 4 or 5 days. I am drinking it in a half a glass of water instead of using capsules. The taste is much better than when using citric acid as an activator.

Thanks to all for your help in this matter. I'll keep you updated as I complete this 21 day run of Protocol 1000.

Good health to you all.
