This was a little disturbing to me..

WholeFoods is opposing Proposition 37.

It's getting so we can't rely on companies that we thought were on our side,

Clint

There are a number of "theoretically healthy foods" companies who are supporting the prop, most because they are smaller arms of big agra companies. I can get you a list, if you'd like. it's been all over Facebook.

This article by Mike Adams tells you of some of the organic names owned by big agra companies who are currently fighting Prop 37.

www.naturalnews.com/036834_Kashi_Larabar_boycott.html

The anti-prop37 people (the ones who don't want labeling) are only concerned and using money arguments for why it should not be passed. They could care less that the people have a right to know what is going into their own bodies.

Just to let you know, these are some of the parent companies opposing Prop37, and their "health food" subgroups.

• Pepsi -- SoBe, Tazo, IZZE Sparkling Juice, Naked Juice, Naked Juice Coconut Water, Mother's Cereals, Nut Harvest Nuts, Sabra Hummus, Stacy's Pita and Bagel Chips, Aquafina

• Nestle -- Gerber Organics, Juicy Juice, Perrier, Poland Spring, S. Pellegrino, PowerBar, Tribe Mediterranean Foods

• Coca-Cola -- DASANI, FUZE Healthy Infusions, glaceau smartwater, glaceau vitaminwater, Honest Tea, Odwalla, Simply juices

• ConAgra -- Alexia Foods, Lightlife

• Kellogg's Company -- Kashi, Bear Naked, Wholesome & Hearty (Gardenburger), Morningstar Farms / Natural Touch

• General Mills - Cascadian Farm Organic, Muir Glen, Good Earth, Larabar, Liberte Greek yogurt, Nature Valley

• Kraft - Halls cough drops

• Dean Foods / Land O Lakes - Silk, Horizon Organic

Mike Adams had a series of 5 ways to avoid GMOs - the one I thought most of us would be unaware of is this one:

3.) Avoid the Top Four GMO Crops of Soy, Corn, Canola and Cottonseed

This is a bit tricky as most blended oils in North America contain canola and cottonseed. Whenever you go out to dinner and receive anything fried, you are most likely consuming GMOs from the oil, not to mention transfat. A way around this would be to purchase 100% extra virgin olive oil, but be sure to avoid the term olive oil as most of it is blended with some GMO cottonseed or canola. Unless it specifically states "Non-GMO" or some derivation on the label, it most likely contains GMOs.

Likewise, any time you go you consume corn chips, tacos or soy milk, you are eating GMOs, again unless it specifically states Non-GMO or is organic.

We have set up a page on the ANH-USA website listing the various consumer brand names and products of the companies trying to prevent your right to know what’s in your food. We also include links to the company websites so you can see everything they produce—and learn what to avoid. When you see a name like ConAgra you may not realize that they make food to sell to consumers. Please use this link to find out who is who and help us send a powerful message.

Clint,

Reminds me of a while back....I got lemon shortbread cookies and didn't think much of it [ from whole foods ]

and I munched on a cpl of them.....THEN...I start looking at all the ingredients.......flippin canola oil!!!! :woohoo: .. ..

I was not amused.....but I messed up and did not call them on it...[ I really don't shop there often...too expensive ]

But they are on my "S" list of places to call them on the carpet for.....[ like..."why would you [ realizing the store mgr is not responsible, but he will feel the heat and pass it on ] folks even sell us some garbage like this"? aren't you people at whole foods all about being healthy?]

Trader Joe is guilty too....canola oil in roasted pumpkin seeds............again, my bad for not calling them out because I don't go there that often.

If we all stepped up [ myself included ] to the plate and called them on that stuff, they'd eventually have to stop carrying any products with that garbage in it!

I recently came upon MMS and FGHP therapy at the same time. And NOW more recently, I stumbled into old therapies, like turpentine!
And I always support peoples right to choose whichever therapy they see fit to take!
