The best is ORGANIC EXTRA VIRGIN COLD PRESSED (must be cold pressed!!!)
A good price is The Vitamin Shop brand.
Keep the coconut oil in refrigerator.

Some suppliers claim organic when it is actually denuded or been processed.

If it does not smell like coconut - I don't buy it...
The mind is like a garden, if you do not cultivate it, you cannot harvest from it.

The best is Organic Extra Virgin. I don't know what you intend to do with it, but if you intend to ingest a couple of tablespoons per
day you should consider buying it by the gallon as it so much cheaper that way. I actually buy it in a five gallon bucket now. It does
not go rancid and it does not need to be refrigerated. The most reasonable prices I have finally found is at Nutiva.com. Of course you can use coconut for many things.

I have treid quite a few brands and I'm the happiest with NUTIVA

www.amazon.com/Nutiva-Organic-Virgin-Coconut-15-Ounce/dp/B001EO5Q64/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1347380086&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=nutiva

efa gold is good too

Besides for cooking,I use it to oil pull with!
I recently came upon MMS and FGHP therapy at the same time. And NOW more recently, I stumbled into old therapies, like turpentine!
And I always support peoples right to choose whichever therapy they see fit to take!

youtube- daniels, why turpentine is good for your health most excellent info with instructions and warnings for proper preparation prior to using turp should you choose to do so.

CHARLES,

I'm sure you will love the flavor....I use it also to cook eggs, besides the oil pulling. :)

Nutiva also makes MANNA [ for certain palates, not sweet at all ]...I like that too....with same raw honey, it is awesome!
Manna, has coconut meat mixed in with the oil....it needs to be prepared properly,
just slowly heat it and stir the oil back in, then chill it quickly in ice water to keep the
oil distribution even throughout the jar. Then it is ready to be eaten.....usually just one
spoonful with a spoonful of honey, I found it to be a great combination.

Did you get the coconut oil to do oil pulling?

I got the oil. Very good. I cooked a breakfast of eggs and bacon with it. I also put some in the blender with yesterday's breakfast of flax seeds with blueberries and milk.
