I'm starting this topic because in some posts is mentioned in the forum that MMS didn't heal cancer, etc.

Lets remember how important is to start any treatment before is too late, before a disease is too advanced, irreversible and the human body cannot fight anymore.
If someone had chemo and radiation, the immune system is affected very much.

The treatment must be followed exactly as prescribed and lets not forget that not all people react the same way to a treatment..

It is important to remember that lifestyle and diet are very important for maintaining a good health, preventing diseases and also for helping human body to heal. It is vital to make the necessary changes for increasing the chances to heal.

Based on many years I dedicated to this subject,I found out there are some common accepted ideas. Some of them:
- avoid stress, or at least lower it as much as possible
- exercise, have an active life
- avoid pollution of any nature, even excessive noise
- avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption
- have a good night sleep, at least 8 hours in a dark room for helping the body to produce melatonin
- hydrate your body
- maintain an alkaline PH
- have a good and balanced diet including a lot of vegetables, some fruits, proteins, etc
- avoid soda (even diet soda), sugars and especially artificial sweeteners, avoid fried food, grains
- avoid GMO (genetically modified) food
- beware of the side effects of drugs, radiation, chemo.

It will be interesting if some forum members will share their knowledge and experience regarding lifestyle and diet, helping us all.
Be well.

Your thread would be an education to all - and it has already been discussed to great lengths here and on other sites.

The immune system heals the body exclusively - NOT DRUGS!

Providing an environment where the immune system can recover from all the "poor" and uneducated life style decisions we have all made (due to lack of quality education?) will always make the biggest difference.

I do query some of the wide groupings you list (all grains?) as organic unprocessed foods do have the best effect on nutrition for the body. Too much of anything agrochemically produced is going to unbalance the body system in some way.

Sky, thank you for your post.
It is too much to talk why the grains should not be part of a healthy diet, maybe I'll have a post only for this subject.

A fabulous substitute for grains is QUINOA, which is also gluten free. There is quinoa pasta also, available in stores (Whole Food, etc.) and online.
Even NASA wants to use QUINOA as the main food for astronauts during the time of long missions. There are studies showing that a person can live well by consuming only quinoa and water. Of course is better to have quinoa only as a part of our diet - a balanced diet and variety are better.
A link about quinoa here

QUINOA is not a grain, it is a seed.

An info piece on grains:

1. All grains are high in phytic acid, or phytates. This organic acid is present in the bran or hulls of all seeds (including all grains, legumes and nuts) and blocks the uptake of critical minerals like calcium, magnesium, copper and zinc. In order to remove the phytic acid in grains you have to soak and/or sprout the grains in a warm acidic solution. Since all commercial grain foods, with rare exceptions, are made with grains that are not properly prepared, we have many people who being harmed by eating these grains.
2. Grains feed inflammation which, arguably, is the basis of many diseases. Grains have several inflammatory substances such as, phytic acid as mentioned above, as well as gluten and lectins. Glutins can be problematic for many people who may be unaware that they harbor gluten intolerance. Studies suggest that lectins may play a role in promoting inflammatory bowel disease, diabetes mellitus, rheumatoid arthritis, glomerulonephritis, psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, retinitis and cataracts, as well ascongenital malformations, infertility, allergies and autoimmune problems.
3. Grains disrupt proper sugar regulation. Whether they are whole grains or refined grains, they still have a high glycemic index level and are absorbed very rapidly — much like a candy bar.
4. Improperly prepared grains may cause damage to the gut lining. Even properly prepared grains can do this to a susceptible person. If the food is not broken down properly, the large food molecules are released into the blood stream, and the immune system will react to these large molecules as if they were foreign invaders, initiating an immune reaction. This is how “leaky gut” develops.
5. Wheat is no longer the wheat of our ancestors, and our digestive systems have not adapted to this newcomer. Wheat has been genetically manipulated (hybridized) over the past few centuries and today, its genetic makeup is very different. Modern wheat is a radically different food, and many people have not adapted to it.
