I just do the maintenance now as i did the routine a couple years ago. for some reason the taste has become untasty. so i just change the ratio of citric acid to sodium chlorite. instead of 6 drops each i use 6 drops of sodium chlorite and 3 drops ciitric acid. instead of waiting 20 seconds before adding water i wait about 40-45 seconds and add 4 ounces of water. using the lamotte test strips the amount of chlorine dioxide is about the same. the good thing is that, at least for me, the bad taste is gone.

However the amount of chloride dioxide goes up fast so dont wait past 1 minute at the most as it will be more than the recommended amount. the longer you wait the more chlorine dioxide. 100, 250 etc. if you go to 2-3 minutes. the ratio probably remains the same.

for the 8 hour protocol i would guess 24 drops sodium chlorite and 12 drops citric acid and await about 45 seconds then add water. havent tried it but i think the ratios should be same. anyway the1i/2 ratio gets rid of taste for me. if taste still remains could go to 6-2 drops and add a few seconds to waiting time.. someone that had the time and sodium chlorite and citric acid could make all the possible ratios and waiting time necessary to get the correct amount of chlorine dioxide wanted. maybe make a chart.

I think the citric acid may be important also. i read this article online by Dr. Michael Lesser, "it appears that citric acid, the major carrier of biochemicals in the body's energy system, shows important promise, primarily in its excellent properties, as a chelator' Its ability to form soluble complexes with calcium offers major promise in the successful treatment of pancreatic stones and has been employed to dissolve kidney stones
theres more but it seems citric acid could be a help also. I have no idea whether that is true or not. just something to check on.
All i can say is that the 1/2 formula gets rid of taste for me. still doesnt taste good but much better for me.

This idea may only work for me but who knows? if taste still remains might could add dmso.

I know that Andreas has been suggesting a 33% citric acid and a 1 minute activation, and sells his CA in those percentages (he uses the 50% to make the CDS, as I understand) -
