I guess I'm here to get some opinions. I just had a complete physical done. I have no diabetes, my cholesterol was perfect, no thyroid problem, urinalysis good, I'm in post menopausal with a 72.6 ml. But when I told the doctor that I was still having hot flashes he said that you should not be doing that any longer. Now there is no way to tell when I had my last period because I had a partial hysterectomy(I kept my ovaries) 13 years ago. Meaning if I still had my ovaries I could possibly had periods for many years after that . I'm 53 now. So because of the hot flashes the doctor looked on my family history and saw that my father and a brother had carcinoid tumors. So now because of the hot flashes ONLY, nothing wrong in any of my blood work or exam, he has scared the you know what out of me. He said I could have something that is called carcinoid syndrome. Which can produce hot flushes. I got on the internet and searched and found that some women can have hot flashes for 15 years after their last period. So I called him and told him that and he said "15 years, Really!". So he then he proceeds to tell me "well if you want to wait on the test". I couldn't believe it. He scares the crap out of me and now he says I can wait. I also did a search on the kind Of flushes that go with carcinoid syndrome and they are dry flushes and menopausal flushes are considered wet flushes. And believe me I have wet flushes ;) so I guess I'm asking y'alls opinion if I should proceed with the test since the only thing about it was the hot flashes ? Also I was getting ready to take mms or CDs and start with making it for the whole day. I think that would work well for me since my special needs son. Any advice would be so appreciate, thanks in advance ;)

LOL, wait for the test. Seems like your doc knows as much as you do.
