I'm new to MMS and am trying to find a source of the sodium chlorite. I've found a product at the local pool supply store that is 20% sodium chlorite, 8% sodium dichloroisocyanurate dihydrate, 72% inert ingredients. I've looked at the MSDS for the sodium dichloroisocyanurate dihydrate. It seems to have the same or similar applications as sodium chlorite as well as similar warnings, precautions, side effects, etc. Would this product be safe to use, and if so how, if at all, would the mixing ratios be altered. Thanks.

I would say, No!

I got mine from Amazon.com and got the "in the Swim chlorine pool" -

the verbiage was

You can get fewer than 24 one pound bags. Note it has 68% calcium hypochlorite.

The sodium dichloroisocyanurate dihydrate is the activator. MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
