Hello all, yesterday I diluted 80% sodium chlorite with distilled water, left it in a dark place and waited till this morning, when went to see it, found what it seems to be, I guess, undiluted chlorite or something, my question would be, can I strain the solution? Can you please give some advice, I'm anxious to use it?

Love
Juan

Hi, Juan. Yes, pour off the clear solution and use that. I would think that if you wanted to strain it, it could be strained through a coffee filter.

Regarding straining through a coffee filter. be aware that Steve indicates that the bleaches used to whiten them could degrade the solution. Perhaps the unbleached "natural ones" are fine. I just pour through a make-up cotton pad in a funnel.

ok Pam and martin, I don't have a coffe filter, so maybe some cotton could do it?

Martin, you're right. I don't have bleached coffee filters, so I didn't think to mention that. My bad.
