paul Offline Platinum Member Posts: 618 Thank you received: 670	Hi Josh. If distilled water is too expensive, enquire at the local water works to find out what they add to the tap water. As long as they don't add fluorine compounds, you can boil the tap water to remove chlorine.

Josh, JH uses Reverse Osmosis water in the DR - if you can find a Reverse Osmosis filtration system that is not too expensive, it might be a way to go. Also, in the States, Waterwise makes distillers - (probably not cheap) - I have one from them that actually works on the stove, is not electric, the 1600. Darn, I just freecycled my dad's old one, or I could send it to you. You can check craigs list, if you're in the states.

You might want to google 'Berkey' water filter. They are an awesome gravity feed water filter and you can get filter attachments that will filter out fluoride as well. They come in lots of sizes to fit all needs and work pretty fast if you get a bigger one that is. We keep several in our basement for emergencies because they work with out electricity or water pressure and are trusted by the Red Cross all around the world. I believe they come from the U.K. Anyway, it's just another idea to throw out there for folks looking for the same thing. The water tastes awesome coming out of them as well.

MMS (Master Mineral Solution) is Sodium Chlorite 28% (22.4% Sodium Chlorite, 5.6% Inert Salts and the remainder water) plus an acidic activator (usually 50% Citric Acid or 4% Hydrochloric Acid) when combined produces Chlorine Dioxide.
